Hi. If any of you guys knows how to solve this I'm really grateful...

I have a asp web control textbox and I wanted to set it that if a person inputs anything it will be in KATAKANA Single Byte. Any Ideas. Thanks.

The IME Mode in web has less values than that in the windows-based application, you can see it in MSDN:

ime-mode Attribute | imeMode Property[^]

So you can add it to the style of the web control.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestions. So basically you can't set the textbox input to KATAKANA in web controls. Correct? Thanks.

Yes, you might be able to activate or disable the IME state instead of specifying a particular value like you do with a window control.

In Button1 have the action code

I want when Button2 is click the Button1 action code should work

With out using functins

Why don't you just use the same method to handle the click event from both buttons?

Hi,

Is it possible to send information (e.g string) from one page to a control of another page without using Session States or other server-based state management techniques? i.e no postback

Right now, the label of the 2nd page has to display the 1st page's radio button's text when it is clicked.

How do you navigate to the second page? If you open it in a new window, you can get reference to the parent window document to read the label on this page.

hi, is there a way to add tigra calendar to one of the datafields (date) in detailsview? i intend to use it to facilitate date input and reduce errors. i used boundfields for the fields. do i have to use templatefield for "date"?

pls provide a detailed code to explain the way as im still quite new to asp.net database connecting, thanks.

Yes, the simple way is to use the TemplateField.

hi!

can some one please help me in creating the datagrid with the same output like one we are placing messages (i-e by clicking the link a small portion is open under it and show the discription and clicking again will hide)
also can we do it with datalist

Please tell me, how to recompile asp.net 2.0 project manually ?
I can use "Build Web Site" button in Visual Studio to rebuild
project on local machine, but how to do it on remote server ?

Question appears because of strange error
"Could not load file or assembly 'App_Web_fksfesfr",
I do not see another way to resolve it.

If you have the control on the remote server, you can use the ASP.NET Compilation Tool[^].

If you cannot run the tool, could you be more specific how the error occurs. Does it happen when you update the web site? Was it working before?

Thanks for Answer, I can't run compilation tool on remote server.
Error appears after update of source code for some pages.

Does the web page causing the error have the Inherits attribute in the Page directive?

Yes, it contains "Inherites" attribute, It crashes then
I change corresponding class source code.

PS: Error appears not allways, just 9/10 times.

To read the value from the user control, you can simply expose it as a public property of the control, at runtime you can cast the user control to the real type of it, and access the public property. Also, if you are using the ASP.NET 2.0, you may need to use the Reference directive so that you can do the type casting.

Dear friends,

i want to connect news server from my c# web application. i m working in client machine.
i had used the following code, but, i got some system.dll error.

TcpClient tcpClient = new TcpClient();
tcpClient.Connect("www.nipsys.com", 119);

i want to connect the newsserver with out admin permission its possible.

Please any one give solution for this. its very urgent for me.
