You have described something that uses a password, but not what the password is supposed to be used for. Is it supposed to protect the file or folder, or what? What specifically is it that you need help with? Creating a password? Store a password somewhere? Handle password protection? Handling the event of right clicking?

I mean , if the user applies the password on any file or folder then next time the security get maintained for the
later.User should be able to open that file or folder if

What you're thinking of has been asked a dozen times before...
You can't do this without a black-belt in writing NTFS Filesystem Extensions. You can't attach a password to a folder. It's just not practical because it's a huge pain to administer. Protecting the contents of a folder is what NTFS permissions is for.
You CAN, however, do something along the lines of how Windows XP handles .ZIP files. You can double-click any .ZIP file and XP/2003 will treat it as though it's a folder. Password protected .ZIP's are, however, not supported. This would require you to write a Shell Extension. Again, not for the faint of heart or weak in COM Interop skills.
Looking at your post history tells me that you're nowhere near understanding Shell and NTFS internals enough to pull either of these things off.

Hi all,
does any one knows whats is equivalent to this code in mysql to ms sql
datetimeInDatabase > DATE_SUB('"& datetime.now() &"',INTERVAL 1 HOUR);"
background:
user clicks submit and the date gets stored in the database.
if the user have click send in last 1 hour (i check the datetime entered in db (e.g datetimeInDatabase) i dont want to add it to database. if i use above sql and run in ms sql it gives me exception so i am thinking the sql is wrong and need to convert to ms sql.
please help

Yes the TSQL is malformed. Lookup the DATEDIFF() and GETDATE() functions in the SQL Books Online (or Google them - it'll be faster).
BTW, is this 'online dating' service you are writing a commercial venture or just something you are playing around with?

I'm asking because quite frankly the type and number of questions you are asking about programming indicate that you have little experience doing so.
This in itself is not a problem as we all had to start somewhere, but if you are building an app for commercial use - whether for an employer or for sale to potential customers - you really should be reading up more on the tools you use to construct it. BTW are there not too many 'dating websites' out there already (i.e. what makes your application more attractive to potential clients than those already on the market)?
Many of the questions so far would have quite easily been solved with a brief reading of the relevant parts of said manuals - which are provided with Visual Studio and are freely searchable online.
This is the reason that I have been a bit short in my answers to your questions. I firmly believe that one should exhaust all other avenues for resolution before posting on this board. You are by no means "Robinson Crusoe" and others have also trod this same line. If I, or anyone else, simply posts the answer, you'll never get the experience of researching it for yourself.
My aim is to help people help themselves wrt programming - hence my signature lines.

This isn't working because, for some reason, MyTest's signature doesn't match the signature of EventHandler.
You'll run into another problem after that one's fixed. The method you're binding the delegate to must be a Shared method (Static in C#).

The amount of questions you are posting on this board show that you really should RTFM a whole lot more.
Simple really - use the SELECT TOP function. You'll find a reference to it in the SQL Books Online (you ahve installed them havn't you)

application.exit does not appear to do anything - is there another way to cancel a running process and kill the application?

If you spawn other threads to do work in your app, you have to shut them down before your app will actually exit.

Hello everyone
i'm working on a project where i want to get a file from a remote Pc via telephone network.
my way to transfare the file is the remote pc to open the file as binary and reads a number of bytes and then send them.
the problem i'm facing is the number of bytes to read from the file.
i'm using currancy type in reading from the file because it can hold 8 bytes
i need to know how can i declare a variable that can hold mor than 8 bytes (50 bytes for example)i also want to know how can i make a processing on these bytes like making an error check procedure or adding sum bits to them.
note: the strig type didnit work with me

All you've done here is define a query as a string. This does not give you any data, or even call the database.
