Instead of the C++ pointer to the next node, just declare a node reference to the next node in C#:
class LinkedListNode
{
LinkedListNode next;
...
}

Hi,
Is there any who know how i can check it a user have pit an parameter behind the application name?
ie. myapp.exe parameter
I want to load a text file into a text field, and would like to know if it was possible to find out if the file could be loaded with a parameter like myapp.exe "C:\mytext.text" if im not not wrong this is also the way file extentions are loaded when you register an extention to your application.

Use the property Environment.CommandLine to see the full commandline (including the program itself).
Or use the method Environment.GetCommandLineArgs()
string cmd = Environment.CommandLine;<br />
string[] cmds = Environment.GetCommandLineArgs();<br />
You can check for if (cmds.Length == 2)
cmds[0] will be the path of your app, and cmds[1] (if it exists) will be the first parameter after it

If you're asking how to know if your app has been started with command lines, yes. In your static void Main(string[] args) function, args will contain any parameters passed to your app.

Hi all,
I've just coded an add-in with .net2003, now if others want to use my add-in, they must download my add-in solution and build it, then install the add-in. If they just download the setup(.msi .exe .ini) files and install the add-in, .net2003 will throw unknow exception when connect the add-in.
why? Now I know some assembly will be registered through the building, but do the users must register the assembly through building the project? the setup files can not do this?

I have been having a problem with my Form (Design) window in studio 2005. I am developing what is essentially a database front end and have a single winform with a splitter with a tree control on one side, and a tab control on the other. The tab control has one or two datagridview controls on each of about 8 tabs, with some of the tabs having dropdowns and textboxes each with a label. One of my tabs has a sub tab control with a single datagridview on it as well. My problem is that when I make a code change anywhere in the project, my design window does not refresh very quickly (5 - 10 seconds) and sometimes does not refresh at all and locks up (closing and the re-open resolves). I opened a call with Microsoft and they basically said that I had too many controls on a single winform, and that I should use a more powerful machine. (I have a P4 3.4GHz with 1G ram)
Has anyone else had similar issues with the design window, and if so is there a way to stop it from refreshing with every single minor code change?

I've had plenty of designer issues with 2005, everything from unresponsiveness, to the "cannot load xyz..." errors, to outright silent crashes of VS. The best way I see to deal with the designer is to close all designer windows before you build your project. If you've made a change to a cross-project control, make sure to rebuild that control. Open the designer. If you get any designer errors, do a Clean Solution (or optionally, delete the bin and obj directores in your solution projects) and do a rebuild of the solution. This solves most of my designer issues.

Similar problems here too. Often my designer turns to a sea of pink errors (telling me that it can't cast from one object to another of identical type). Sometimes Visual Studio simply 'disappears' but my favourite is where just opening the solution crashes Visual Studio effectively paralysing development. Good work MS.
No service pack/patch for another six months too apparantly.
I think this is just something we have to put up with

Yep, I've seen that as well. I can get around it though by unloading all projects (when the error comes up, you can still use VS), closing the solution, and restarting VS.
I think they forced VS out too early, sadly. Can't blame them, it was a long dev cycle, but still it has problems and needed to be put off. Oh well. Looking forward to the service pack.

I have a problem with using System.Diagnostics.Debug methods. I created an empty test project and added only:
System.Diagnostics.Debug.Write("Write something");
System.Diagnostics.Debug.Write("Write something 2");
I set breakpoint on the second line to be sure, that the first method was actually executed and run the program using the Debug configuration. No output in the "Output" IDE window though :/ I have just switched from VS2003 to VS2005 and I have a fairly large application written natively with .NET 2005 to debug and no Debug logging functions output is making my efforts to understant the logic of that application fairly impossible.
I would appreciate any help. I think that the solution is very simple, but somehow cannot find it when Googling the net.

Have a look to see if the output is showing in the Immediate window.
There is an option in 2005 under Debugging/General for re-directing all output window text to the Immediate window. If this is set then Debug goes to immediate rather than Output.

I wrote a method that checks if a DiskOnKey is connected to the computer, and if it does, it pops a message says "connected".
the thing is that I have no idea how to make this method being called only when a new USB device is being connected.

Use the ToString method to get the contents as a string, then use the GetBytes method of any of the Encoding classes to encode this as bytes.

Can anyone help?
My application is reciving an array of data via TCP. This data has a JPEG image within it, aswell as other data. Once I have extracted to an array the JPEG image, I need to display it in a PictureBox control. Ideally converting my JPEG array into an Image class object would allow me to give the PictureBox the Image object for displaying. My problem is that I can see no way to do this apart from saving the JPEG array to a JPEG file and get the PictureBox control to load in the JPEG image by calling Image.FromFile(FilePath); I would rather not create a file as the application will be receiving lots of JPEG's and would cause high hard drive activity.
I would be gratefull for any help.

Let's say you get byte[] data;
Do something like this:
MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(data);
(MemoryStream is in System.IO)
Then create an Bitmap instance by giving the created stream.
Bitmap bitm = new Bitmap(ms);
or with Image
Image image = Image.FromStream(ms);
