If I got that salary today, I'd be a very unhappy person.
If I got today's salary then, I'd have been a much happier person then.

And while the first couple of pay cheques I ever got in my life felt heavenly, I quickly ran into money related issues. It took me so many years to buy my first laptop and my first digital camera - in fact I had to wait till I got my US job to do that.

Through some serious effort in the last few years, I've got myself all those things money cannot buy Smile | :)

Now I just need those things for which I need money.

Next goal - an European holiday with Smitha! *sigh* That's gonna take me a while to achieve!

Having more money does not make my job more enjoyable. If my job sucks when I'm making X dollars, it will still suck if I'm making 2*X dollars. Even though I'll have more money in the bank, the majority of my waking hours will be spent doing something I don't like.

They are endeed important, but money are not a purpose in themselves, but means to an end. If you spend 90% of your active life making them, then what possibly could be that end? I would rather have more time for myself than more money. I would rather have more peace in my life than more money. Rose | [Rose]

Dont forget that money cant buy you all: your free time, family and your personal health.

Money has also a psychological aspect, every 100 more make you less happier. Its different if you earn after a raise 600 =(500+100) or 2100 = (2000+100)
