hi all,
i have a table called poll.in my design page i am selecting usernumber (primarykey)from dropdownlist.when i am selecting usernumber i want to fetch the accessID from same table.
same usernumber having more then one accessid. i want to group this accessid depending on usernumber.(thts mean 2 grouping for same table)
usernumber is the first grouping
accessid is the second grouping
i have to display the count value only for accessid
pls help me out from this problem.

Its basically sql Qn. so u should put it up in sql message board.
secondly how its related with Crystal reports.
Well, What i understood, You need query design tips.
its inbuilt in Crystal reports.
plz troubleshoot yourself.
or submit it clearly.
Any systematic work reflects its significance for a long time, Though I m not totally against "The Prototyping".So let's discuss in depth...

I visited the page, and one could expect that the first thing on the page would be an explanation of what the progam does, but not so...
Well, I've been around for a while, so I can make a fairly good guess what the program does, but I don't think that everyone can. And I don't think that one should have to visit the page and read everything on it before getting a clue...

I have asp.net Web control MyWebControl and Component MyComponent.
MyWebControl references on MyComponent, it looks like
class MyWebControl : WebControl
{
MyComponent _component;
MyComponent component
{
get {return _component;}
set {_component = value;}
}
...
}
I want this reference to be saved in InitializeComponents section.
(i want the following code to be generated )
MyComponent = new MyComponent();
...MyWebControl1.component = MyComponent1; - !!!
By default "component" value of MyWebControl
saved in aspx page text.
I can use DesignerSerializer attribute and generate
code directly, but I suppose there must be the easiest way.

Apologies for cross-posting this question from the Visual C++ forum -- I thought there might be someone here who would be able to help and I'm about at the end of my rope at the moment.
I am getting a crash inside InternetConnect and I can't for the life of me figure out why. It seems only to happen when I pass INTERNET_SERVICE_FTP -- I have a test program which does nothing but create a CInternetSession, then call GetHttpConnection, then call GetFtpConnection, passing valid IP addresses to both functions. GetHttpConnection returns successfully. GetFtpConnection crashes with an illegal memory access (and an overwritten stack) after the CFtpConnection constructor calls InternetConnect. Is there anything I can do to repair this short of reinstalling Windows? (The install is Windows 2000 sp 4.)

I have developed a Web Application, which deals with patient registration with in the Hospital circle (Intranet Application)
The Problem is:
When doing the Registration the Name and Address should be checked to avoid the duplication.
First time peoples are typing the name like (Eg:Jayalakshmi)
When the same person comes again they are going to registration and typing name like (Eg:Jayalaksmi)
Note:
#1 time : Jayalakshmi
#2 time : Jayalaksmi (Here the H is missing)
In this situation the system need to intimate them that is the person may be already registered.....
So I need Query that produce the exact result
I believe I have given a clear Question.if not don't hesitate it

If you use Oracle, it supports a SOUNDEX function which can help you.
I know of no elegant solutions for MS SQL Server that performs the same functionality. In this case, you will have to build an alternative index of the information in your database and use something like Edit Distance or SOUNDEX/PHONIX to get the last names "similar enough" to the one in the existing field.
To make it interactive, you'll most likely need to use some form of background information fetching, like the so-called "AJAX" technology.

Hi!
I have a form made in CGI script, which used to do html page creation, email sending at a time.
Now i have introduce Preview Data facility, which will open shtml file with form data. so that we can have a look into the matter and if needed we can edit the changes. but its not a easy process. so I would like to put that preview part within the CGI file so that user don't have to back to the browser and do necessary changes and again press prewiew data to see the new modification. so i want to such process that user can preview data on upper side of the same Form page, in below section form will be there, so that they can edit the data and press preview data and modified data inform of page will display everytime on the top portion of the Form. there will no movement of the window and no new window will open when user press preview data button.
For that i have written following code of preiew button submit action. but the problem is everytime new window is opening but CGI file is not showing on bottom pane of the frame.

How do you open the preview page from the button? You have to specify where you want it to be opened.

I want to open preview on top of the same CGI page from where preview is being executed. it can be on frame also. means on the top frame preview and on the bottom frame cgi file will be displayed. every time user press on preview button on the top frame they can observe the changes which have been made by preview.
hope i am clear enough.
by the way what is this mean? it is everytime when you reply to someone query.

That didn't make it any clearer. All I really know is that you have more than one page, and you have a preview button. I assume that the preview button opens a preview page somewhere, but I don't know where the button is, where the page should be opened, or what the button does to open the page. That's why I asked about it in my previous post.

I am clarifying more one by one.
there is one form in CGI, on the bottom of the form there is two button Send email and preview data.
send email do send email, making html page and save the form data.
preview data open a shtml page with form data to see only.
hope this much is clear.
now i want to something by that people can see the preview on the top of the new window and at a time there will be that form with last written data, if neede user can change the data and see the effect there only. if everthing is allright they can press the send email to finish the job, that's all.
but the problem , if i use frame page in preview data button press, on the upper frame shtml page with current data is displaying but that cgi file is not displaying at all on the bottom frame. I just only use frame so that user can see that shtml file and cgi file together on first shot they don't have to scroll down to find out the form to make changes or send email. The preview page has lots of data because form has many field and lots of data.
that's what i am trying to say. hope now it is clear to you.;)

Hi Friends,
As per the requirement, I have adjusted the height of the HTML Textbox to 10px and set the font-size to 10px using style property.
When the page is loaded, the text is vertically aligned middle to the textbox in IE so that the text is visible completely.
But in the browsers Mozilla Firefox and Netscape, the text is not vertically aligned, so the bottom portion of the text seems to be chopped in the textbox.
How can I vertical align the text in the Textbox using CSS/Javascript or some other way?

I have a webpage written in html. I was wondering if I could make a part of this page not reload, but not using frames, because this would mean I have to recode the whole page. I want to integrate a flash movie within the site, and this flash should not reload when I change the page. I don't know if this is possible, this is why I am asking here. Thanks!

Hi ,
I deployed recently my ASP.NET application on IIS 6.0 and all works fine except one serious problem.the problem when i try to log to my application using two different users from one machine the second user when he log ,it seems like his runing over the session of the first user ,like they are using the same session.
this problem occured when i tested my app in some machines but in other machines this problem does'nt exist and the two apps runs separatelly.witch make me think that the problem may be with IE and not IIS
Does any one seen this problem?

are you using static or shared properties or the like? I had a similar problem when I was first starting and this was the problem. Just an easy check.

Yes I'm using static variables but as constants unchangeable.I think the problem is with IE .as i said , i tested this in many machines in some of them all works fine : i open two windows and log on with two different users and the two instances are running independently .But in some machines the problem occurs : the seconds user is runing over the session of the first.

IE works differently depending on how you open a browser window. If you open a new window from an existing window, they will both use the same session, but if you open a new window by starting a new instance of the browser, they will use separate sessions.

i need to build this page as structured at the Giff and been started working on at the html page i attached.
i need to make a 3 columns page
i have a Left column, a Right column, and a middle content area.
at the bottom there's a Footer.
this footer should be placed at the middle. and inherit the middle content width. (as shown at the GIF example i made)
i mannaged to make a float layout, that if u take the left or right layout (by display:none), the middle automatic takes his place.
i have to problems unsolved here:
1. how can i solve my fotter issue? he is in absolute position, bottom . how can i make him sit at the middle AND at the bottom of the page, say like bottom of the middle column, and the middle colum widths, like at my picture.
2. if i dont give my DIV#main a fixed height, i wont have a scope for the #left #right Children to adjust to.
and if my content height is over the height i declared in my style, the content wont influence the div height. couse its fixed.
ill appriciate any help

Hi,
How do i deploy a webservice created using visual studio 2005.
I created an web service: 'new/web site/ASP .NET webservice'. as an example it creates hello world example.
i can access it using the web server included in the VS2005. with right-click i published the service and copied the files to the IIS-wwwroot folder.
but when i try to publish it in the location where IIS is located i get parser error : 'Could not create type 'Service'.'
what did i do wrong.
will really appreciate.
