 I'm noticing very slow access to the codeproject site, I just wanted to know if anybody else is having the same problems. I'm situated in Paris France and I am using a professional 10Mb fiber optic internet access so this is not a line speed problem. I've done a tracert as follows

I have had very slow response as well from codeproject this week - more than a minute for any page to load.

First was Managed C++
then it was C++/CLI
I alway see MFC, Win32, C question in C++/CLI
Is this still for MC++ and not for MFC if so, why you vouldn't rename to MC++/CLI or Managed C++/CLI

And what About "Visual C++"
I Also see Win32, MFC qouestion in Visual C++
when i clicked C++/CLI i see:
The Code Project discussion boards - C++/CLI
Discussions on Managed Extensions for Visual C++ .NET
I see world Managed. In that forum they also ask for MFC, Whitch is unmanaged. In that specification i coudn't find word MFC or Win32.
I am asking because i see a lot of people mixing those two forums.

The Visual C++ forum is supposed to be for general C++ questions (not just questions about VC). C++/CLI is the new name for Managed C++. However, people that don't know what "C++/CLI" is think it's for general C++ questions, so that forum gets a lot of posts that ought to be in the VC forum.

Yeah, I know. I am suggesting to add word Managed in front of "C++/CLI" then the people will go to VC++ forum.
They could rename "Visual C++" to General C++ or something
I don't like to see MFC or any other qouestions in Managed forum, because there are a more qouestion than managed (I Think) and i hate to read the post, because i only want to read Managed post

The technical reason is because there are a couple of systems plugged together that have conflicting QueryString keys that cause problems when trying to hookup the redirect back to the original page.
The real reason is that instead of patching the current system I'm just rewriting it so it works properly from the ground up.

It's been a while since I posted my article, so I don't really know if we already have this feature.
It would be nice if the author of an article could create a sticky post (one that stays on top) in the messageboard. This can be used for making announcements/requesting feedback/etc.

Authors have an entire article in which to ask for comments or feedback. Adding a sticky post is redundant.

I've had a few people post on my article's messageboard without reading the whole article. When I point it out, they say, "Yes, now that you mention it, it *is* there".

It might be useful to announce updates, fixes etc. before the article gets updated.
But I feel that the "cool I can make a sticky post" factor is a bit more influential

Hi CP team,
I have a little request... on the home page of the site, in the "Last 10 updates" section, it would be nice and useful to know the section the article is related to (for instance, C++/MFC, C#, Free tools, etc...).
every time, i must click on the link to see at the top of the article to what language it is made with ; so we could gain here a little time on the server, couldn't we ? moreover, as the new articles are stored into the "useritems" path folder, i cannot even look where i will end by hovering the article's link...
i'm waiting for your comments all...
