Hi!!Actually i am newbie in this VC++ area and for my project i want to make a button and onclick some page will open.i know that there is a class called CButton but don't know how to use this.

If u r trying by SDK then u need some books to refer fist .
If u use a MFC ,then
Use a class wizard to create a new project in MFC (SDI)
Then create a dialog box from resource editor ,create
a class for ur dialog box say CDlg_myname .
Create a Object of the dialogbox class and use this code in
ur CMainFrm OnShow() event .
CDlg_myname dlg1;
Dlg1.DoModel();

on the resource editor, you can drag a button from the toolbox to your dialog resource, give it an explicit ID and then double click on it to access its OnClick event handler...
there, add the code that is to be executed when the button is clicked on...

I like to find out whether it is possible to monitor what files are being copied out of my PC to bluetooth devices attach to the USB port. Can somebody advice or direct me? Maybe there are ActiveX Components available in the market for that?

Hi,
I've done some searching to implement a windows explorer kind of interface. Will VisualStudios.Net will start you off with the splitter control, it's not exactly what I wanted. I would really like to integreate the shell features of windows explorer into my application. I've searched for hours on how to do this without having to completely reinvent the wheel, but either nobody seems to know or nobody wants to give out the information.
I've seen libs that you can pay for that do the job for you (http://www.ssware.com/articles/creating-explorer-clone-in-visualc++-mfc.htm) , but I don't see the point in paying for a library when I can write it myself.
I've searched these forums for this topic, but havent' found any info (maybe i just suck).
So is there a way to get a windows style explorer control into your application without writing it from scratch. I wish I could rip out the list view from the open file dialog and the tree view from the folder browser dialog. Either C++ or C# solutions/ideas would be welcome.

Hi,
I im trying to work on network security and developed a sniffer as a first step of an IDS. Next, I want to decrypt captured packet header to get the signeture information but I don't know how to do it or how to get the key.
Can anyone please hep me out? I'm stuck here for long time.

Hi,
In my app I want to convert pixels to inches and vice versa.
How do I do this. We can get the size of the screen in pixels by using GetSystemMetrics() fn. But how do I get the size of the screen in inches??
Have any ideas???

when this app open the customer dbf file, it creats index as well, it didn't really has m_pdbf = new...., but it seems like need to be deleted in dbCustomer::~dbCustomer(), here is the steps:

depends on your design.
if there's an Open method, maybe there's a Close method also that will close the database and delete the object.
if you're not certain about that, put the delete in the destructor.

I am trying to write data to a file so that I can open it later. I am trying to save the values of variable to the file. After the file has been opened, I input:
"hours << day << endl;"
"hours" is the outfile and "day" is a variable that I am trying to write into it. If I remove the "<
|

Order of operation precedence:
hours << day << endl;
is equal to
hours << (day << endl);
You want:
hours << day;
hours << endl;
|
|
|
|
|
The associativity of << is 'left to right'. So:
hours << day << endl;
is equal to
(hours << day) << endl;
Only the associativity of unary and assignment operators is 'right to left'.
