Tracert basically uses echo information to create a route to your target. That means, it constantly changes the TTL (Time-To-Live) in the IP header of and echo request and then pings all routers and hosts reporting a timeout.
It works this way:
START-----------------NODE1------------------NODE2---------------END
START sends a package with a small TTL (like, 1 hops) to END. As the package reaches NODE1, NODE1 decrements the TTL hop-counter by 1, making it 0. This means, it may not forward the information and will send an ICMP error package back instead. START receives that package and pings NODE1 (with a normal TTL) to get a response time to display, then sends another package to END with a TTL of 2. Game repeats for NODE2.
Thats how the trace information is built. Sophisticated tools will then try a WHOIS on each node and use the address information to draw the approximate location on a map (e.g. by ZIP codes).

I'm trying to print a form with Labels, textboxes and checkboxes.
I have added the PrintDocument1, printDialog1 and printpreviewDialog1 controls.
I have added some code, when I print preview, the preview is blank, and a blank sheet comes out. When I just hit the print button, it askes me to pick a printer, and then prints a blank piece of paper.
I know I have to somehow 'build' the image of my form, to send to the printer. I have the subroutine (called Drawall), and I was wondering what the code
If I could just print even the first Label (called label1), that would be enough to get going.
Any suggestions? Some of my code is below:

You can call InvokePaint() to paint a control on a given graphics object.
If you iterate over all controls in your form you should get what you want.
Something like

hi all.
in my server application there are some variables that have to be changed during setup my application on the webserver like the ip address of that server and the port address i suceeded to override the install class to modify the configuration of the setup process to pass these variables from dialogs i added during deployment but the question is
i need to make my user to provide the ip address and port and then the dialog take these variables and modify it and then the setup.exe is created with the new variables values and then other users can double click the setup.exe file and installing it with the new values and the installation don't ask them for new variables

when i override my install class to pass variables to the application during installation time it is ok it passes these variables with the new values but each time the user press the setup.exe file it gives him the same dialog to enter the new values of the variables like the ip address and port number but i need to make the user provide it once and then click change values buttons and then it creates setup.exe file with the new embedded values and create that file on the hard desk of the user pc and then he can give the setup.exe file to other users and they click and install the application without asking them to give the values again something like creating server in subseven or prorat or any remote administration tool please any help in that

i need to provide file.exe to enable the user to put values in the text boxes and then write these values to the installer.exe file which i will pass these custom data to it and then the file.exe create for me the installer.exe with the new values entered and then i can send this installer.exe to users and install my program safely with the new values changed internally.

i need to store the network stream of the user into mysql i succeeded to connect my server with mysql database but i don't find good column type to store the network stream in and then retrieve it when i need it to send messages for the specific user with that network stream i need to store it as object to retrieve it and cast it with networkstream class to change it to the corresponding network stream any help in that

First, use punctuation because I really can't underatnd what your trying to do.
Second, you can't store a NetworkStream object in a database. The underlying unmanaged resources will be lost when the NetworkStream object goes out of scope and your connection will be closed and torn down. Simply casting the object you retrieve from the database back to a NetworkStream object will not work.
What are you really trying to do with this?

i need when the user enter after signing in successfully to let my server store the networkstream object in the database instead of storing it in hashtable and then when i need to send him a message, I can retrieve the networkstream again from the database by his username and then write to its retrieved stream.
Yes my friend i used that idea to cast the object come from the database back to networkstream but it didn't work i don't know why my friend. like the below code

I just got done telling you that you CAN'T do that and why.
If you're going to hold onto a NetworkStream, you MUST hold it in memory. You can't ship it off to a database and forget about it because the underlying unmanaged resource will not get saved to the database and will not be retained for later use in a reconstituted NetworkStream object.

i am trying to get all teh text content from a web page, (text only, no HTML)
so i am using this regex

yes, but i am also excluding the text between the 'a' tags
its a 'spider' bot program that crawls the net looking for words that meet certain criteria, then it looks them up in an online dictionary and maps the word to its meaning
so im just trying to get the words from the page then i do the criteria checks
i already have a regex to extract the href's
here is that one:

keep a lookout for a dictionary builder article on here in a while,
funcitonality will (initially) include:
* recursively follow links from a starting URI, (to a limit)
* build dictionary based on words from the browsed pages, word and several meanings
* generate word files for MS Word and the like
* build thesarus from generated dictionary
* merged dictionary database table to recursivley build bigger dictioanry with meaning comparisons
* multilingual translations, for word and meaning
* run from desktop client or login to web frontend
* print a formatted dictionary by word prefix
all this will hopefully be achieved using online dictionaries and translators that are already in place.
also, does anyone know how MS query string looks like for searching clip art from within office, i have a clip art library builder, using similar concept and i would like to access the clipart from microsoft. im not sure they do licence checking on there clipart as you can search them from thier webpage. perhaps i will start another thread on this soon

Hy,
I'm trying to create a class which sends files (common file formats - xls, pdf, txt, jpg) to
a specified printer and a specified paper slot.
My problems are:
- Doing it with Process.Start (verb "print" or "printto") is a good and quick method,
but i have to set the paper slot for each document. (Is there another possibility?)
- The function should be dynamic for all file types, that means, I do not want to make a class
for every file type (PDFDocument, TXTDocument etc...)
The best solution for me would be a function like this:

}
Maybe there's a component or something else which is solving my problem. I'm already sick of searching...
