I am using the radiobuttons as a psudo-menu and the double click would launch the object from the nemu.
I thought about recreating it, with inheritance and changing. Not sure if it is worth it though.
Not a big deal, just suprised to see it gone from vb6.

you could have a global variable, that would tell whether or not it was already clicked, and if it is clicked a second time within a certain amount of time, call your double click function. You would have to delay any code for the single click event (assuming you want the capability to single click it, which I wouldn't understand why you wouldn't need that capability) untill the possibility of the second click has already occurred. if you understand what I mean. I'm a beginner, but this is the workaround I would take.

Hi,
I have a project in which I access a mySQL Database and extract totals from it that are shown on a Form within a DataGridView. Can anyone tell me is it possible to access the values in the cells of this DataGridView from the Form, inorder to create an action dependant on a comparison of two of the cells values?
Thanks
Denis

Does anyone know a nifty way to automaticly convert a VB.Net project into a C# project.
Sharp Develop has a function that converts from VB.Net -> C# or the other way, from C# -> VB.Net.
Although this function does a conversion it doesn't analyze the code.
For example:
Left(str,10) is allowed in VB but not in C#, however Sharp develop's converter doesn't detect this.

There is nothing that will do a perfect, and syntactically legal, conversion between the two. You'll always have to do some conversion by hand, even if the thing does analysis.

We have a VB.NET to C# converter - Instant C# - that will typically do over 99% of the conversion work. (download the demo at www.instantcsharp.com)
The Microsoft.VisualBasic namespace functions that have direct and safe equivalences in the System namespace are converted, but the ones that don't are left as calls to the Microsoft.VisualBasic namespace.

1. Use GetTreeCtrl() to work with the CTreeCtrl object.
I assume you used already the CTreeCtrl::SetImageList() function.
Now use the CTrreCtrl::SetItem() function where you specify the wanted number values for the nImage and nSelectedImage parameters.
2. Derive a class form CTreeCtrl (let it be CMyTreeCtrl), change your object declaration from:
CTreeCtrl m_MyTree; into CMyTreeCtrl m_MyTree (or whatever you have there ).
Now you can use the wizard to add a handler for the right click event (and a lot of other events).

Plus ca asta nu cred ca rezolva problema pt ca nodul pe care fac click dreapta nu o sa fie selectat si apoi la evenimentul after_select nu o sa apara ca nod selectat!

Hi!
I`m tryng to connect to a ftp-server which allows only a secure connection. Connecting with Flashfpx it works with both "auth ssl" and "auth tls", but when i try to do it with the menatils security-library and the example ftp-client i get this exception:
220 (glFTPd 2.00 Linux+TLS) ready.
AUTH TLS
234 AUTH TLS successful

I´ve read somewhere that the menatlis-library didn´t support dhe/dss and the server seems to need this. Here´s a part of the log when connecting with FlashFXP:
[R] AUTH SSL
[R] 234 AUTH SSL successful
[R] Connected. Negotiating SSL session..
[R] SSL negotiation successful...
[R] SSL encrypted session using cipher DHE-DSS-AES256-SHA (256 bits)
[R] PBSZ 0
[R] 200 PBSZ 0 successful
I´ve been told OpenSSL would support this authenticationmode, but i don´t have a clue how to use this library in my project. Any suggestions and help will be appreciated.

Dear all,
I developed a tool window, which is a custom graphical editor. Now I would
like to use standard visual studio undo/redo buttons and printing dialog.
But these buttons are disabled when my toolwindow is focused, and also not
passed to Querystatus of the addin. On other hand, for example, build-in
form editor can usees the buttons.
May be somebody could help me?
Thanks in advance,
Boni

This is probably a stupid basic question but...
When setting a new variable to the value of an existing reference variable how do you tell c# to copy the variable instead of copying the reference the variable holds.

Not exactly what you're after, but one solution is to implement ICloneable and call the Clone method.

Thanks for the suggestion.
What I eventually did was to create a Copy method and use the MemberwiseClone method to create a shallow copy of the object.

If you've ever used MFC before, you might remember the concept of separating document and view. Setting aside the debate about whether MFC is good or not, I'm developing an app right now that has a clear definition of a document that can be saved/loaded/printed and possibly edited in different views, and I think I could use some of the design that were quite rigidly enforced in MFC.
Unfortunately, I've lent my MFC book to a friend (probably about 5 years ago), and I can't remember some of the document/view separation ideas.
If anyone happens to remember the answers, here are my main questions:
-Should the main view create and manage the document object, or should it be created outside?
-Should the document object be able to access the view object (WinForms control), and should I use it from there? Should I worry about portability of the document object, or should I just worry about that when I serialize it and leave the view object out?
-Since objects within the document are in charge of drawing themselves, should the document object draw the whole view, or should that be up to the view object? If the latter, should I pass the Device Context (System.Drawing.Graphics in .NET) to each draw routine?
Thanks in advance.
By the way, don't you think it'd be cool if VS.NET had templates for SDI and MDI C# applications? Maybe we should post that on the Whidbey suggestions page.

Great, that's exactly what I was looking for.
I found this[^] article with a Google search for "view model controller pattern", and the last portion cleared up all my questions.

Hi,
i have a problem handeling powerpoint presentations with c# .net.
I have to copy all shapes and slides from an existing presentation to
another.
Only to copy the whole presentation doesn't work for me.
But when using .copy() and .paste() the formatting is lost.
Also the background and the slide master is not in the new
presentation.
Can anybody give me a little code how to handle this?
I've looked everywhere but found nothing about it.
Thanks a lot!
