I am trying to find a way to extract and send the contents of TEXT FILE 1, via email, to a list of email addresses in TEXT FILE 2.
So just to clarify, I would like some code which will rip the contents of Text File 1 and send the contents to everyone in Text File 2.
Any help received will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I am trying to implement a notification process in my comapany, which aims to notify users when a change has occured to certain documents and systems.
I have got a program that is triggered off when a change has been recorded. Now, I would like to find a process to notifiy users about the changes made.
Cheers.

Hello,
I use the Win32 API to make a small application (so, no MFC !). I would like to have a dialog resource displayed on the main window. At the begining of my program, I call CreateWindow and supply my own message pump. But how can I do to show a dialog box as main window ? Do I need to hide the window created with CreateWindow and then create a dialog box using the DialogBox function ?
Thanks

Since you are wanting to create a lightweight GUI have you considered looking at the WTL?

Thanks for your response but I don't use Visual Studio. I'm using Dev-C++ and I don't know if it supports the WTL (I'm new to WTL...). I will take a look
Thanks

Um, no neither do I. I have not tried to use it outside of Microsoft IDEs
Ant.

You need an ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI() handler. Here's an example for a menu item named "Delete":
BEGIN_MESSAGE_MAP(CBaseView, CListView)
ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI(ID_ITEM_DELETE, OnUpdateItemDelete)
END_MESSAGE_MAP()
void CBaseView::OnUpdateItemDelete(CCmdUI* pCmdUI)
{
CListCtrl &ctrlList = GetListCtrl();
pCmdUI->Enable(ctrlList.GetNextItem(-1, LVIS_SELECTED) != -1);
} What this does is disable the "Delete" menu item if no items in the list view have been selected.

void CBaseView::OnUpdateItemDelete(CCmdUI* pCmdUI)
{
pCmdUI->Enable(! m_bCalculating);
}
void CBaseView::Calculations( void )
{
m_bCalculating = true;
...
m_bCalculating = false;
}

the menu item is only visible when you display the menu, and this is when the ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI.
if you have toolbars with the same ID, the ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI will be called eventually, and the button will be enable ( or disable ) at that time.
in your "other" function, you will need to set a class variable that will indicate if the menu ( or toolbar item ) will be enable or not; and processed in the ON_UPDATE_COMMAND_UI handler.
