I am afraid you must be more specific.
If you mean JS function, see this thread[^]
If you mean ASP function, there must be something like include...Yes it is.[^]

hmm Are you talking about IDE-level thing? Hardly. (maybe except some obscure use of Search in files & replace in Visual Studio)
hope it helps.
If not, ask for moretm

Just like that, but not Search or replace, but insert, so that we can insert JS function in many files. I`ve been making an application for that. But got many problem. I`m still looking for a RichEditView article in CP.

It can be used as Search and insert! Like replace "<head>" with "<head><script src="..." ></script>" will actually add JavaScript (see link I gave you) to all html pages in project (when you use "search in files" option in VS.NET)! Only ptoblem is that you don't have much control over it.

In JSP you can use classes behind your jsp files. (A bit like ASP.NET) I think with ASP you can do the same. This way you can create a validation class and call the object in all pages.
good luck.

You can include an asp page in another. Add the include at the top of the page.
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="Validation.ASP"-->
You can put this at the top of each page, even write a small script to rip thru them to do it. you can include as many as you like.
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="ValidationOne.ASP"-->
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="ValidationTwo.ASP"-->
Whatever code is in these files is now availible to the page that it is included in.
By the way, why have all these different pages. make one page that displays sale items after Looping thru a database.

Because it`s using different tables for each page

Maintaining this must be difficult. You can have one page that displays sale items just change the Stored procedure or query, depending on what is requested.
Anyway, hope me offering helped.

You can change that, but some table have different fields than other. How can you solve the display for that, other than make each page for each module. But, thanks anyway for your opinion.

Hi All,
I'm attempting to center three div layers within a tabbed view, I'm using a function that was written by a co-worker which is great but I cannot find out were to callout the "resize" within the code.
Here is what I have for the function:
function centerDivs(){<br />
widthOfDiv = '720';
centeringTheDiv = (screen.width) ? (screen.width-widthOfDiv)/2 : 0;
document.all["LayerOne"].left = centeringTheDiv;<br />
document.all["LayerTwo"].left = centeringTheDiv;<br />
document.all["LayerThree"].left = centeringTheDiv;<br />
}<br />
<br />
<body onload="centerDivs()">
Now! where do I plant the resize method within the code. I've tried to center these layers by surrounding with a table and centering through the "center" tag but the layers always snap back to the left.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks In Advance.

Hi, Im trying to find some resources on making config changes to IIS when installing my web app. Specifically I add a new application mapping to pass .swf extensions through aspnet_isapi.dll
Anyone have any links/info on this. I just want to write a .NET Installer class for this task to add to my setup project.
TIA

In case anyone DOES actually use the search function
This code lists all the available properties, and tests adding and removing an application mapping:
DirectoryEntry iis = new DirectoryEntry("IIS://LOCALHOST/W3SVC/1/ROOT");
iis.UsePropertyCache = false;
Console.WriteLine("Path:{0}",iis.Path);
foreach(string prop in iis.Properties.PropertyNames)
Console.WriteLine(prop);
PropertyValueCollection pvc = iis.Properties["ScriptMaps"];
for(int i=0;i<pvc.Count;i++)
Console.WriteLine("{0}",pvc[i]);
pvc.Add(@".swf,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG");
Console.WriteLine("======================");
for(int i=0;i<pvc.Count;i++)
Console.WriteLine("{0}",pvc[i]);
pvc.Remove(@".swf,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG");
Console.WriteLine("======================");
for(int i=0;i<pvc.Count;i++)
Console.WriteLine("{0}",pvc[i]);

i have tried various manipulation on this method's param

My scenario. I have a left frame with a search button that is querying using Microsoft Index server. Here is the html for it in the left frame
<FORM action=simple.asp method="GET">
<INPUT type="text" size="25" name="searchPhrase">
<INPUT type="submit" value="Search" onClick="parent.test.location.href='rightFrame.html';>"
My question. How do i make the search results from the left frame after clicking the search button to be displayed in the right frame. I tried looking some help on the web. Most solution suggested using the solution above. It is not working for me. Thank you in advance for all your help.

Gavin,
Thanks for your reply. Can you elaborate on your solution. I am not quite following what you mean by Frame ID attribute.
<input type="submit" value="Search" onclick="parent.test.location.href='rightFrame.html'; target="right">"
