That's great! I hope that this is the first of many.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Yeah - well to be honest it took as long to write the story as it did to create my firstborn....
make of that what you will

Not as fun though, I hope.
Good for you though. My mom has published a few books and it was a ton of work. Not quite the same but I can imagine the amount of time and effort it took.

I can only hope that both were properly developed at delivery.

I should have been here to volunteer . I love LOTR, and a friend of mine is writing something similar for which I am a volunteer proof reader.

Congrats. I do a bit of sci-fi writing (and other writing) myself so I know how tough it can be to get your stuff in front of an audience.
Can we read your story somewhere? Are any of your other stories available elsewhere?

Thanks.
You won't be able to read this one until publication next year - and as it is the first, there's no others available to read.
I do have one reject that I may post somewhere online in which case I will obviously let everyone here know!

Awesome! So when is the CP article coming out discussing the architecture decisions, workflows and third party integration?

I was thinking more of an article discussing punctuation (with special consideration of alignment of braces), layout and the use of the word 'this'!

I'm not actually getting paid - but I'm still pretty excited, and was passing by so thought I'd share!
Congrats! Where have you been hiding?

Hi MM - well, you know how it is! Got kicked out of one job, moved out of the .Net space into Angular 2, NodeJs and all that sort of stuff - so CP became less relevant & I had less time.
Now I"m back into using .Net back end a little, & popped by to look up some facts ..maybe I'll stay a while!

Congrats! I'm working on a novel and have a pile of short stories as well so I know how difficult and nerve wracking it can be. I do it in my downtime so I stay creative and help relax. My older brother just published his first book as well.
What sort of short story was it?
