I'd compliment the coalescence but it seems you've narrowed your possibilities on this thread.
Fortunately, it's all in your head.

Oh, I didn't mean those little blue pills. I was referring to "Nagy" = "large", "Vilmos" = "William"...

Surely, wouldn't "large William" be "Big Bill"?
It did remind of a high school colleague who's unthinking parents named him "Richard". His surname was "Head".

OK - in the US at least (and probably the UK),
William is 'truncated' to Bill
Richard is 'truncated' to Dick
Both really make no sense if you think about it.
I wouldn't have gotten your allusion, anyway.

To celebrate this, I have booked an hour in this simulator[^] for next week.
I hope to land better than this one.[^]

That crash probably was a deliberate test. Helicopters usually don't come down that way on a runway and have a camera standing there to document the desaster.

It's a small hardware company and the big software project did not come to pass. That's why I'm on my way out before I was really in.

So, luckily it wasn't nothing traumatic. Good luck for your upcoming hunt for jobs!

The hunt is already finished. My current boss was fair enough to give me an early warning and I found something where I can start in October. Until then I will just be lazy or go flying.

CDP1802 wrote: I can start in October. Until then I will just be lazy or go flying October?! Dang man. I know y'all do dates differently over there than us Americans do, but here in America, that's 1 month away. 1 month unemployed? A man goes nuts. Go work a few hours a day somewhere and then study up on whatever you'll be doing in your next job. Real men work!

Nice. When I was let go from my previous position, with no warning (or hostility), I had the summer off for the first time in decades. No job prearranged to take its place but the three-month hunt was not at all unpleasant. We do get those long Euro-cations in the US - so your month off seems like a lovely dream.
