Quantum Computing is a fascinating subject and I hope I live to see it come to fruition, there are a few questions that I would like it to solve; what did I do with the key to my bike lock?, how in the hell did I live through the 60's?, what should I have for supper?, etc..

It was in the lock, last time I saw it.
Luck and a Guardian Angle. (Didn't help much, but he watched from round the corner.)
Homemade chicken and mushroom pie, mash, peas, and gravy.
The only instant messaging I do involves my middle finger.
English doesn't borrow from other languages.
English follows other languages down dark alleys, knocks them over and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

It really is quite fascinating..
Given enough information, it probably can can get a very good, if not precise, estimate...

Vilmos is coming to Durham between Christmas and the New Year.
For some obscure reason we've wanted to visit the area for a while and so we'll spend 4 days there. Poor Mrs Wife must work 30th & 31st so we'll be in t'NE from Boxing Day to the Sunday.
If you really are as clinically insane as you portray then a small drink may be in order.

Sweet. Yoda, time off is taking between Christmas and New Year. A libation or three in order, is. We may even be able to get the Barrow out.

I'll let you know details when I'm home. We're currently decamped to Londinium at her office. The girls are watching the tv while I fail to work - Garfield in Hungarian is weird.

Oh no. I'm all for it. Isn't Mrs Kief Arabic? Dear Mrs Wife is a fluent Arabic speaker and has been known to be mistaken for one.

I've been known to be mistaken for one too
Mrs Keef is indeed an Arab, though her father is dismayed at how poor her Arabic is. Perhaps Mrs Nagy can give some tips

I was up there earlier in the year, and it's very nice. Good selection of boozers, and very friendly locals.
This[^] is well worth a visit, and you'd need a whole day to do it properly. Any museum with two decent drinking establishments in it gets my vote!

I live about five minutes from Beamish. I'd have to agree with your vote here.

I once spent 6 months living in Beamish Woods. Well in a converted barn in the woods.

Can't remember now, it was nearly 20 years ago.
I have been looking at google maps trying to work it out.
I've a feeling it may have been one of those off Hammer Square Bank, they had a barn which we occupied (I was working for a company from the West Midlands that had 5 of us up there along with a director and his wife) as well as some other guest rooms in the main building which a couple of us moved into at the end of the contract when the rest returned home.
They had a few horses in the paddocks, and the buildings themselves were down a track from the road.
We started off working out of offices in Sunderland, but after two weeks it was broken into so we worked from the barn for a couple of weeks before moving into studio offices in Gateshead.
It was a sweet deal, we traveled up in a leased car on a Sunday night, worked 4 ten hour days, then drove back to the midlands after the Thursday shift getting a three day weekend. The director's wife was a very good cook, and she made us breakfast and dinner each day we were there, and sent in trays of sandwiches for lunch. We also got given a case or two of beer and a few packets of cigarettes each week whilst we were there.

I recommend this place[^]
Great food, reasonable price, friendly staff, easy to get to.
In fact, I am tempted to run up there too, make a CP Gathering of it.
Maybe get one or two of the other pseudo-scots to join us.

I would be up for that. I might even be able to persuade Mr M to part fund it . No promises, but it's worth a try.
