Yeah, It was. That project is really what transitioned me to developer in this company. I was hired as a programmer, but not really taken seriously as one until after this.
I dislike data processing

There's a coffee brewing in my kitchen.

Nope, Chris bought 'em.
As from next week this will be FaceProject.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

Tis a reference to Twatter. My OP was a play on the 'Storm!' below, but no one wanted to play. Now I am sad.

Just saw Andrea's name on a list that comes my way: Wife, Sister, Sister-in-Law?

She are my wife. I guess you're involved with the Street Angels then.

I was one of the founder members but am giving up after this month's duty. I find being on my feet that long is a bit over tiring at my age, although I may do the odd duty to fill emergency gaps. I hope she enjoys the experience as much as I have. Maybe meet at the dinner dance in June?

She's looking forward to it. AFAIK she'll start next month after we return from Hungary.

She doesn't need to leave home then, does she?

You should not need luck in brewing coffee. Given the right beans and equipment, it should be quite predictable.

Hi All,
My quest to finish the project I'm on at the moment is not going well due a lack of clear direction (I want it to work!, not how you want it to work), Instrumentation that is flaky. Spent most of last Friday try to talk to one instrument only to conclude it was dead (got the boss man to confirm it with me) got another two sent over do like for like tests and find the failed one hasn't failed. Boss confused, I spent most of last week doing early mornings and late nights in hope of getting stuff out, basically burnt myself out for nothing.

That is what happens when you do early mornings and late nights in hope of getting stuff out.
An occasional early morning or late night is acceptable but when it comes to doing it on a daily basis things are out of control.
If you haven't started to look for other employment by now you should use your early mornings and late nights to do just that.
