Must have missed that match, but that's a great result for Bury at the San Siro.

Rightly described as an upset.
Incidentally, I just heard one of our developers describing source safe as "the source code suppository". Not sure if that was a Freudian gym slip or not.

If, through some SciFi means (such as time travel), I manage to make an exact copy of my cellphone (including SIM card) and someone were to call me, what would happen? Would both ring? Would the first one the service provider detect ring? Would the service provider, upon detecting two devices with identical SIM cards, reason that there is some shenanigans going on and block them both?
Just curious.

Probably depends who wrote the software: in theory it's not just the SIM, it's the IMEI which is unique to the phone which should be the problem: it's what the base stations use to ID the phone hardware (you don't need a SIM to make emergency calls, but you do need an IMEI). In theory, duplicate IMEI == shenanigans == no service.
But...do you trust developers?

Sure I trust developers. I've never met a developer who couldn't be trusted to create bugs.

The phones would become self-aware and go looking for each other, then going in a fight where they would try and chop off their antennas using light sabers.

There are several car brands that before the Bluetooth ruled the world they offered to use an exact copy of your SIM card to insert it in your car.
When anyone called you then car and cell phone rang.
I guess this happens with two cell phones and with a cellphone and a car. Given the previous situation the first to answer was the one getting the call.
Hope this helps!

That's pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing.
I suppose that there is still enough of those cars around that the service providers cannot flag duplicate IMSI numbers for shenanigans. Except if they have a policy by which you have to notify them in advance to have your IMSI white-listed for duplicates.
