I think so, too. It is placed there before eating, and will stay there after..

Luis Suarez finally suspended on an international scale. Nine matches with stadium ban isn't too much, I guess!
Just try learning your lesson (Once bitten, twice shy, third ...?)

He has also additional 4 months with stadium ban, and a 100000 CHF to pay too!

So...a holiday on full pay, and a fine of what? Two days pay? And he got supper as well!

Sad, that the world of the 'sport' does not ban forever such a people...I've stopped following sport, after I realized that the so-called sport clubs do not interest in nothing other but money, ans do not care who brings it...

I don't think the ban is as lenient as you think. He is banned for four months from any football related activity. he has lost several major sponsors and there is a mumbling already that the ban should means he cannot receive any money from the game; i.e. no play, no pay.

So he can still play for Liverpool?

Maybe he'll be loaned to Pompy

Pompeii.
They might be mummified in volcanic ash, but they'd stand a better chance of winning a football match than Pompey.

The Rabies Order 1974 prohibits entry of rabies-susceptible mamals into Great Britain unless issued with an import licence by the AHVLA or quarantine for observation and destroyed if he is still biting.

oh, come on. his salary is ten million pounds a year.
the sponsorship is on top of that, so even with no pay no play he'll pick up what, 8 million this year.
my heart (and shoulder) bleeds.
Hes a big ugly cheating scumbag who is, unfortunately, also quite good at kicking a ball.
id always thought that if i were he id use a portion of the wealth to fix my teeth - i now realise they are his weapon of choice, like hopoate's finger.

Absolute disgrace, he committed an assault and should be tried under the laws of the country, AFAICT footballers don't have diplomatic immunity, and the ground is part nation it is in.
As for the FIFA fine, it's laughable: £66,000 is about a third of his weekly wage from Liverpool (at least on the news site I found - a dare say his actual earnings are much higher).

I do not disagree with you, but if the ban is total then he will lose a lot more than 66k.
Personally, I'd say "Burn 'im! Burn 'im, 'es a witch!"

No, Suarez is a Vampire, a Zombie or more simply a rabies victim but not a witch, of course you must burn him!

I still don't get it. Why is biting someone so bad, and deserving of so much attention? It's not like he bit a piece out of that guy, or infected him with a zombie virus, or anything like that. He just left some teeth marks (not even particularly obvious ones) that will probably disappear soon. This is nothing. Anyone who thinks this is a big deal hasn't participated in real life yet.

Because:
0) This is the third time he's done it.
1) It's a sign of some serious behaviour problems.
2) It's assault.
3) It doesn't set a good example to watching fans.
Put it this way: the football pitch is his place of work. Would you want to work with a colleague who bit your shoulder because he was pissed off?
