Remove the drive from the computer, prop it up against something, and snap a picture of it with a digital camera. Result - an image of a hard drive.

You can stand a newspaper next to it, to confirm the snapshot date -- and that it's still healthy on that date.

You forgot about this part
image hard drives remotely while the computer is running
I'll have to rig something up inside the case.

Incredible. This is yesterday's image as today's isn't all that and I forgot to look yesterday.

I am sure, I saw that in a 70's Sci-Fi film!

I'm saying nothing except there are 650 Members of the House of Commons and, according to the wireless, police have arrested 650 perverts...

Must be just you - whenever you're dreaming that the politicians are all arrested, you should instantly know - that you are dreaming.

I dunno, but my thoughts when I heard about this[^] story was exactly that it would be like arresting every MP.
Which would be nice.

I doubt you can get them all in one place at the same time.
You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

No there were 649 others.

Read the BBC news article on it.
"The NCA stressed that none of those arrested is a serving or former MP or member of the government."
That I suppose is good. The fact that it merits inclusion in the story at all is most disturbing.

Probably because of all the rumpus concerning 'Uncle' Cyril Smith, they want to make it clear the rest of the house is innocent*.
* AFAIC all politicians in all systems are guilty; it's just a case of finding out the specific offences.

Looks like a few laws will be changing pretty quickly, then.

How dare you malign perverts like that!

650 huh?
Between the US congress, supreme court, cabinet members, JCOS and chief executive the numbers work as well. Hmmmm?

Hilarious!
One thing though, the part where they say "Just watching porn", they do it on an Apple laptop. The dad wouldn't want that in his Microsoft home I'd think, yet he says nothing about it

I never understood this "Java runs on anything" malarkey.
The fact is that Java runs on anything that has a Java VM installed.
Windows is a VM, too. So's iOS.
Java ain't nuthin' special.

I'm a little curious as to what you mean by Windows & iOS are a VMs.
Certainly, they each provide an API, but the instructions that programs contain are native to the cpu. Unless of course, I've been mistaken.

They ain't hardware, so they're not "real", i.e. they're virtual machines.
