Today I reached new high in my understanding of how evil JavaScript really is! ...
The project was going well, I had lots of client side dynamic thing using MVVM + Knockout, until....
I got the bug: we got this alert "this script is running slow" ...
Damn it's on client side filtered paged grid.. it just can't be (fake) asynchronous (using setTimeout() callback), what to do! what to do! Oh you evil JavaScript!

It's not javascript that is evil.
Javascript is a about as evil as a knive, a gun or a hydrogen bomb.
It's the way it is being misused that should be demonized.
Javascript is good!
I like Javascript!
People are evil! I'm not evil and if I had any friends they'd confirm this.
Ok, some people are just weird, but still ...
Javascript is NOT evil!

you will have to pry the .js file from my cold dead hand

Sorry, my bad, obviously you are right! JavaScript is as good as an hydrogen bomb, obviously!

I'm with Manfred on this one - JavaScript simply doesn't have the moral agency necessary to be evil.

I recall that you picked up one of the V1's...are you going after the V2's? And have you developed anything with them, and/or what are you doing with them?
I was thinking of them in a training scenario...still trying to picture exactly how to use them, but think they have a place....

Christ! I knew Dave was worried about the state of Scotland, but didn't know he'd resorted to stocking up on rockets!

Ken,
I picked up many things (except STD's fortunately!), would you like to give me a clue on V1 of what....

Total guess, but maybe Oculus Rift

That never crossed my mind! I was thinking, ultrabooks, arduinos, raspis, beagles, parallellas everything but OR

Sorry, thought I had that in there. Harold was right, Occulus Rift. I meant to add a link to that. There is a V2 on pre-offer which has 'better' tracking, etc.

I have really just played with a few of the demos, other things got in the way and ate up my time!
I did see the V2 available, but thought I would just leave it until I have time to actually use it or have something working on V1 first. Also, I don't think it will be far away for the final version to be available.
Add to this that there are now other companies also developing their own headsets so the market is blown right open now. Probably now into full first to market, think they [all of them] have missed this years prime holiday season release (although they could still sneak something in), will just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the insite....probably hold off, but it does look pretty awesome.
And again apologies for the confusion, should look at it from the readers POV..

Trying to topup my PAYG Tesco Mobile online, worst user experience I have had in a long time, reckon I would get further just firing up Postman and doing the API calls myself, not worth the prison time

I'm trying to get a 3D graph prepared.
I just wasted two days on this app, Graphing Calculator 3D[^] but the author decided on some sort of copy protection or cripple ware or whatever you want to call it. i.e., It makes an excellent graph of Z = f(x,y) but then you can't use that image; e.g., no JPEG, no PNG, in fact, you can't even do a screen print.
My motto is: Just say no to any and all such apps.
So I came across an app from Microsoft, Mathematics 4.0[^]
Before I go wasting another two days on a freeware app that isn't free, can anyone tell me if Microsoft Mathematics will...
-1- Generate a good looking graph, Z = f(x,y)
-2- Save that image in a file for use by other apps

Why no screen print? Try Greenshot[^] awesome, free screen grabber. If the graph can be seen on the screen I don't understand why you can't get a screen print?

Have you tried window's snipping tool instead of a screen print? What's nice about that is that you don't have to use a tool like paint to cut down the amount of screen you want. Your "freeware" may not thought of that tool or may not be able to protect against it's working.

YES !!! PAY DIRT !!!
You sir, are a real friend.
Thank you.
If you know of a similar app that will capture moving images with equal simplicity and detail, post it.
This is the way it's supposed to be: click, click, drag, drag, zip, zap, I have my image
Nice, I never knew this existed before your suggestion.
