I *think* only generic American shorthairs, but I don't recall ever coming across any black longhairs, so...no way to tell for sure.

It could be deadly!

My Doctor said I'm allergic to cats and dogs. But I never suffered that - and I eat them since I was I little boy.

Not if you shave the tiger first. I've never heard of any complaints about a shaved kitty.

I have yet to meet a woman who's allergic to a Jaguar.

Normally TWC suck massively - they are an expensive, poorly run excuse for a cable network company who have terrible customer service and a crappy DVR menuing system.
However, I had a letter stating that my internet service was being upgraded free of charge and a new cable modem would be on it's way to me. Yippee! Something for nothing!
Of course, that's not what actually happened. They sent the wrong modem and then deactivated me when I rang because they didn't understand what I was saying (that comes of having overseas call centers).
Anyway, the correct modem arrived yesterday. Plugged it in. Called to activate. Done. under 10 minutes and now with 50Mbps as measured by speedtest.net as opposed to the 15 I was getting before.
For once they got it right.
Now, if only they would have some decent channels to watch...

Virgin Media did something similar about one year ago - "We are upgrading you from 10mbps to 20mbps completely free!"
One month later a letter arrives through the door from Virgin Media - "We are raising your monthly bill by £3 due to inflation etc."...

A short note from FastFoodsR-Us
"We are not raising the price of any of our value meals. No. We will fight raising those prices to help all consumer-eaters. We are, however, implementing the new bucket-size drinks for all value-meals. We know that few of you drink that much and those of you who do are sickly and unable to get up off a chair, but we are doing this to assuage the thirst of the people. It is value-added. However, we will have to raise the price of all values meals just a little so that we can offer you these larger buckets-o-beverage, that so many of you have never actually said you wanted, but we know you do. That's how we add value." (whisper) And more of your money to our pockets.

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

After being stuck with TWC for eleven years, I finally got FIOS... They charge less, and I've actually measured MORE bandwidth in both directions than they're charging me for...
Not to come off as a marketing shill or anything... I'm sure they'll start jacking up the rates after the first year... But it just felt so good to get rid of TWC... Now I'll just have to see if they refund the month they auto-billed me in advance the day before I cancelled...

Our choices are: TWC or DirectTV (through a third-party supplier). I'd still have to get internet service through TWC. I'd dump the TV and landline but the wife likes them.

Tried for TWC and went through the whole process until the end where they finally determined I do not have internet only tv available.

So if you don't report the incident the kids are in danger in the future.
If you do report it. You lose your job and the teach will probably still have their job?

He wasn't fired for reporting the incident. He was fired for breaking the law by using a mobile phone whilst driving in a company vehicle.
It's perfectly possible to report a dangerous driver to the relevant authorities without recording it on your phone.

Which laws should you be allowed to break when you see which laws being broken by someone else?
Interesting question.

If you want to record this sort of event, just set up a camera/device to record every journey as I do.
You can then safely record dangerous drivers.
What he did was put himself and others in danger by recording the van driver. Yes it's a bit screwed up him getting the sack, however he did do something that took his attention off driving safely...

Doing 90 in a 70 is not in itself dangerous - though various law enforcement agencies would disagree. It becomes dangerous when the speed is beyond the conditions, or the driver's ability. The law is there to work around the minimum acceptable driving standard, not the average.
Driving at 70 while filming on a mobile phone on the other hand...
I can't see that as safe in the slightest. There are huge numbers of studies which say just holding your mobile and talking into it is dangerously distracting, let alone using it as a video camera and trying to drive at the same time!
There are other ways this could - and should - have been handled. A quick call to the emergency services would have been enough.
I'm with the company on this one - though perhaps firing the guy was a little extreme, I can understand the thought process.
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

We get to have a three day weekend. I just wanted to express my happiness. Even though I enjoy my job,
a little time off is also appreciated. Also Halloween is a free day!
I was also wondering, what holidays do you have in other countries, that excuse you from work without using any leave?

England:
New Year's Day (or the first Monday afterwards if it is a weekend)
Good Friday
Easter Monday
First Monday in May
Last Monday in May
Last Monday in August
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
(if either of these last two is on a Saturday or Sunday then they day off gets moved to the Monday or / and Tuesday.
Most companies give you these off, although I don't believe they have to, and I have worked somewhere that for Easter you could have either Friday and Monday or Monday and Tuesday off.
I think the Scots get an extra day off at New Year because they are all too hungover to go back to work after just the one day off.

We also used to have two days off for New Years, just last year the government decided to fix that and only give us one day off.
It is interesting to see the names of holidays in another language - as in for Good Friday we have Veliki Petek which basically means The Grand Friday(as all the others from Thursday to Monday). And the Monday is also off, however Good Friday isn't.
