If you take a gold coin from the 50\50 then it has to be all gold - the only possible contents are 100g and 50\50 but the labels are wrong and as it is labelled 50\50 it has to be all gold, so problem solved.
If the 50\50 has a silver it must be all silver for the same reason. If the 50\50 is really all silver then the box with silver label must be wrong...the box labelled silver can't be all silver so must be all gold or 50\50....however if it is 50\50 then that means the box labelled gold is really all gold which can't be true as the labels are wrong. So the box labelled gold must be 50\50, the box labelled 50\50 must be silver and the box labelled silver must be gold, so problem solved.

I would substitute coins for bottles of gin. Then skip the whole challenge as I know all chests will already be empty.

I would look around - and I would not give before I find the chest labeled DD.

It's the chest labeled "beware of the leopard".

Even sapphire mixed would not help, if I were thus (12).

Should I post so soon? (I *think* I have it)

No, if you want to win you could post it and immediately delete the message: that way the OP receives a e-mail with your answer but the game is still open.

Bad idea.
That way, it's possible that other can see the post fro a while - due to caching in the server farm - and if someone else gets it there is no proof that he "won".
Either enter, or don't - if you think you have solved it but aren't in the office the next working day then a "private message" to the setter that never appears in the forum is ok.

If you think you have it - and you can set the CCC on Monday - then post it!
There is no "lower time limit" on posts in the rules, just a maximum time in which it needs to be solved.

Yes, I will set something Monday morning for you (BTW, are there any specific rules about setting clues?)

I'm looking forward to seeing some "new blood" written ones - good luck (they are harder to write than you think, I find)

As far as the clue itself goes, it's a "normal Cryptic Crossword Clue" - obviously, keep it KSS - but the additional rules are at the bottom of my user profile page: http://www.codeproject.com/Members/OriginalGriff[^] and just cover how long it lasts and so forth.
Make it "do-able" or you end up doing it again, basically!

Movie Quote Of The Day
You know why she ended up in the river? Because that's what the river's for. To wash away girls when they're finished with them!
Which movie?

Who's finished with whom? It's a bit confusing movie.
V. wrote: To wash away girls
Just girls? No boys or kids?
V. wrote: she ended up in the river
That's a bit sad though
V. wrote: Because that's what the river's for
Like seriously!!!
Rivers are for connecting the mountains and oceans, too
Aah to many quotes, I just messed up with my comment.
By the way V! why didn't you post MQOTD yesterday? We were waiting for it.
