You should think that they could put up a warning sign, but instead they always put up the Nude Beach Ahead[^] sign!

That requires a real suspension of belief. Hopefully, absorbing that doesn't shock you.

Of your Signature, @Balboos, here's a branch:

If your amused by musing, you can go to my Home Page. Quality varies greatly from top to bottom.
However - if you do decide to visit, I'd prefer you do a google search for 'balboos' and then, from the list, click on "BALBOOS' Contemplations & Such", which may not be on the front page. I want it to move to the front page and being selected from a search does that. With a rare-ish search such as this, the order can change rather easily.
Left side, with one exception, quotes from others; right side - the results of a savant-ranter

Now it's the turn of Victoria Wood[^]. Like many of my generation, she brought immense pleasure to me with her unique brand of humour.

That is a shock (Bruce looks on his way out to). Yet Jim Davidson is still fit and healthy.

Brucie? He predates the dinosaurs!
I'm fairly sure his passing is mentioned under "end of the world: signs of" in Mayan texts...

To be fair, he wrote the Mayan texts.

Nah, Brucie will be with us for a good while yet. He's recovering nicely according to his doctors. He'll be wanting to outdo Nicholas Parsons, who looks like he'll be still working at 100, if nothing else!
I am not a number. I am a ... no, wait!

Yeah, Doris Roberts[^] died recently too. Not sure if it was mentioned on CP.

RIP Doris. Didn't see a mention but I don't spend as much time in the lounge as I used to.

Not sure if you listen to BBC Radio4, however there was a good episode of More or less[^] recently where they went over the statistics of recent celebrity deaths.
The conclusion was that it did appear that there were more celebrity deaths reported so far this year than there have been in the past(for a similar period of time).
It's one of those radio shows that occasionally has a few gems in it and I wished I listened to it more regularly.
