Hello all,
After coming back from windows 10...
I can see that some of the applications that are in the start menu are not showing the MRU files list...
Usually you have something like this:
...
Notepad | > |
Word | > |
...
When I hover the arrow part (right part of the start menu) the list of MRU files should appear on top of the right start menu area.
It happens only sometimes: I can see that all the applications I used while being on windows 10 have lost the ability of doing that.
I've tried to remove Notepad from the menu and start it enough times to get it back into it, but the problem persists.
I'm starting to think it have something to do in the way Windows 10 modifies the registry or so...
Have anyone here found this and solved it?
Thank you all...
SOLUTION:
Just navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
and delete all the files.
It looks like Windows 10 uses a different format or something like that...

Um...mine doesn't work like that - hovering over the program icon, program name, or the arrow does nothing - but when I click on the arrow the list opens.
Don't think it's ever done anything else, but I have to say I prefer it like this - "hover to open" is a PITA (particularly on a touch screen, not that mine is).

In this computer it works like that... and now it works again! see the "original post" to see the solution...

BTW, since you've sensibly rolled back to Weven, don't forget to install ShellFolderFix[^]
Taking away the "Remember window sizes and positions" option was one of many MS decisions over the past few years that could easily win the Most Stupid "fix" ever! title.

Sensible: QA should not be a division of the production department.

Typical management! You work your fingers to the bone, and all you get is demands for higher production targets!
