Hmmm...
Then, again, maybe not. Cuz, of the owl's silent flight, death doth occur to the unsuspecting lunch (or midnight snack, in the owl's case).

I've been using my daughter's Amazon Prime account streaming - not for too much. Nearly anything worth watching is not included. HuluPlus is where I turned, though, if movies were my interest, NetFlix seemed the way to go.
Maybe your 30-day trial period with Amazon Prime is still open for cancellation?

It is - but it's 60 days due to a courier laziness failure.
But ... Herself wants it for the new Top Gear replacement, whatever they finally call it. And I just bought a Fire TV stick to use it (because Amazon doesn't want to play with Google )
I suspect I'll end up with both, but that'll be complicated because Herself doesn't like learning anything new!

I'll watch the episode they air on TV, but I refused to subscribe for it. I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix and watch it (if it doesn't suck of course).
BTW, I don't care for the ship's configuration.

Agreed. It looks almost like a Federation/Klingon hybrid.
It's apparently set in the "Prime" timeline, rather than the JJ Abrams timeline, so that's a bonus. But I haven't seen any indication of when it's set.

My guess is that this is pre-TOS as the ship's hull number is NCC-1031.

Where does it fit between TOS and STE (with Scott Bakula)?

Well, see, Scott Bakula leaped into the body of a 22nd century starship captain... Obviously the machine malfunctioned somehow, because despite Ziggy's best efforts, Sam ended up living several years in that body before leaping out. Usually it happens as soon as he solves some big problem in their life, but I guess he just didn't accomplish anything.
But because of his efforts, he changed the past, and now TOS never actually happened, so this is actually a third new timeline, after STE.
