What is amazing is the crash shown in the opening of The Six Million Dollar Man was a real crash and the pilot walked away from it. (Well, was carried away from it).
Bruce Peterson was his name.
He hated the programme as it kept reminding him of the worst day of his life.
(Although I suspect that 1st of May 2006 wasn't a good one for him either).

The US lifting body research programme.... as a ten year old I was spurred on to develop my own lifting body programme*, resulting in the eventual destruction of several saplings and me being sent home from school for 'playing with explosives and causing a menace in the playground'... happy days.
* it was a model of the M2-F2 made from sheet steel, approx 75cm across, powered by a home made solid fuel rocket motor and 'got up to speed' by a glider launch bungee.

XP Support[^] is coming to an end.
I foresee a complete farce evolving over the next 90 days.
UK Government is completely useless when it comes to IT, so it should be fun to watch.
Fortunately I will have my Companies House and Corporation Tax returns done before the switch off of support.

Lucky you. My returns aren't until the end of June so I suspect that will be a complete clusterflock.

Well, according to DD and Conspiracy Theorists, they are excellent at Covering Things Up: not landing on the moon, our Lizard Masters, Kennedys assassination by Book Of The Month Club, that sort of thing.

The first rule of Book of the Month Club is that you do not talk about Book of the Month Club!

Shush! Stop talking about the BOTMC!
It was broke, so I fixed it.

Is that support as in support? In which case it matters not I'd have thought. Who needs support?
If they mean they're going to stop fixing security holes after that point, well that's bad. XP may not be as nice as Windows 7 but it does the job so you can understand anyone without a limitless IT budget having reluctance to upgrade.

I'm going to aim for straight after..
