Best wishes to you, Nagy's brother.

It is a reference to the admittedly bad joke about confusing lesbian and Lebanon. You know women in comfortable shoes? When I heard about the dykes in Holland I was expecting to see women in comfortable shoes shouting "Get away from the water!" <super>[Robin Williams].

I had something similar happen recently. My father's going through a different chemo since the previous one didn't seem to be "working". He's losing his hair and they asked me to come over and shave his head. I saw my mother outside talking to a few neighbors and didn't realize one was my father until they started walking over to my car. Definitely shook me up.

Was his voice not recognizable? Or has that also changed because of the chemo, surgery, etc.?

My mother died of brain cancer 15 years ago. Inoperable and no chemo (due to the blood brain barrier). They did experimental (at the time) gamma knife radiation. Caused her hair to fall out and her face swelled up. She died about 5 months after first symptom. Absolutely heartbreaking...
My lovely wife was diagnosed with breast cancer 18 months ago. Surgery, chemo and radiation followed. Lost her hair and swelled up but I'm happy to say the hair has returned (with a bit more body) and the swelling is gone. As of now it looks like she kicked its ass!
I bought her a shirt that reads "Cancer - You picked the wrong bitch!"

And I feel like yelling "Marco is a free elf".
Had the last day on the job yesterday, nice to sleep in today, apart from that it feels great to have these 4 years of Apprenticeship over and get started with the 'real' jobs (even though I was pretty much involved in a "real job" for the last two years).
And now for the Samsung @DE (@rsehat development environment).

I've now got my workflow down for developing for the Samsung Gear 2. It's a bit fiddly but once you're used to it, it's not too bad. The biggest pain points are debugging the widget and the fact you have to deploy an Android app, even if it does nothing at all, other than act as the delivery mechanism for the widget. This, in my mind, is one of the biggest weaknesses of the Gear 2.

Wow that's a long Apprenticeship. I hope at least its paid.
Here you have to work 6 months "test period" or kinda like Apprenticeship(for each new job) with lower pay of course and everyday the boss can tell you, you don't need to come to work tomorrow. The bonus is you can get hired after the Apprenticeship in the same firm.
For some time even that morons in the parliament thought, hey lets make the test period for the people out of the universities free of pay, just for fun.

Apprenticeships are a bit different in Switzerland. A four year Apprenticeship (SW Development) in Switzerland means:
Year 1: Basic course (3 days / week) and school (2 day/week)
Year 2: Work in a productive Environment on real life projects (2-3 school days / week)
Year 3: Work in a productive Environment on real life projects (2-3 school days / week)
Year 4: Work in a productive Environment on real life projects (1 school day / week + 80 hours final project which counts 50 % of the graduation grade)
After 4 years you are certified to work as Software Developer and still able to go to Uni to get a Bachelor's degree while you work part-time as Software Developer.

Well all i know about SharePoint is what i saw of it at a previous job, other than that nothing much. A buddy of mine's little brother is soon to be ready for the study world after the great school tragedy, and he somewhere heard about a great job opportunity for SharePoint Development in which they will sent you to study on their account and then he can work for them.
So I was wondering if the CP Developers community could help me explain what it is. From what I gather it is ALOT of XML and some web services etc. Anyone know or work/worked as a SharePoint developer that can give me a easy explanation on what it is? IE to what can I relate SharePoint to understand what type of coding etc it is?

He might have underestimated it just slightly though.
