Will Robin Williams replace Leslie, now that is a question?

Dunno, I thought he might this morning, but there has only been one actual and one almost repost. The others have been more or less stuff relating to him. Leslie's death was re-reported for several days after it happened IIRC

Maybe, we're all thinking the same thing..
Don't mind those people who say you're not HOT. At least you know you're COOL.

Appropriate Movie Quote Of The Day
Oh captain, my captain.
Which movie?
The entire poem for those interested
O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,
The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won,
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up—for you the flag is flung—for you the bugle trills,
For you bouquets and ribbon’d wreaths—for you the shores a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
The arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor’d safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done...
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

"Complain about salt and pepper as today is the Glorious Twelfth!"(6,6)

Grouse Season.
Complain - grouse
Salt and pepper - seasoning
Glorious twelfth is the start of the slaughter.

Surely you mean 'Harvest', the grouse are farmed and would not exist in this country if it were not for the fact that we like to eat them.
It is no different from any other farming.

So we send pigs, cows and sheep to a harvest-house?
You are of course correct in saying it's the same as any other kind of farming, right down to killing protected species and encouraging monoculture unfortunately.

Wrong number of letters though:
Auld Pretender.
Bonnie Prince Charlie was called this, and it describes mutton dressed as lamb - an old woman kidding herself she can dress as a young one.

Young Pretender surely? Unless I've missed some subtle double-meaning?

No, it is Dave Auld conflating himself with the effete young Italian born Polish/French/German/Scottish 18th Century Cross-Dressing upstart as much loathed by the Scots as by anyone else!
(Dave, I promise not to mention Culloden!)
