This is what happens to a disarmed populace - they become victims of criminals who do not follow the law. Gun control only (adversely) affects law abiding citizens, and has NO effect on what criminals do because - well - THEY'RE CRIMINALS WHO BY THEIR VERY NATURE DISOBEY THE LAW.
I wonder how many of the hostages wished they had a concealed weapon...

There is an Infosys employee in there reportedly (that's the large Indian software company), so he/she might potentially be a CPian.

Try putting it in a fruit salad.

I didn't say you would want to. It was a joke referencing this (I thought fairly well known) quote:
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.[^] - Miles Kington
Sorry, next time I'll be sure to point out and highlight these aspects of my posts for those who tend to take everything more seriously than me. I really didn't think using a joke icon was necessary in a thread like this.

That would indeed be helpful.

and those that have a better sense of humour?
Brady Kelly wrote: I really didn't think using a joke icon was necessary
Nor I. do I assume you took my post to be in some way not humerous?
Note that I had originally said that the tomato is not a fruit - which was meant to be humorous as a) the OP was talking about vegetables and b) everyone knows the tomato is a fruit.
seems it is perhaps I that needs to highlight and iconise for the less funny-bone enabled?
