Another woe of a single middle class male is that he can't take a dog because he's not at home for most of the day.
Getting a cat later this summer though

Have them put wheels on the feet, and you can still walk the thing, although the kids at the park are kinda freaked out. (Note: Don't offer them candy to calm them down, you might get tazed)

You need to get out more man. People aren't supposed to rot inside all the time. Need that work-life balance. Build a life. Think with your p*cker and find some chicks. Anything to get out and enjoy the world.

Interesting points you have there.

Ahhh, you need to hang out with extrovert people who can make you the same. Wait... You don't want to meet new people. Deadlock.
But, there are always non traditional ways to break the barrier...

I've got a few friends who I hang out with. I'm just not one to make new friends very easy.
And I like it that way. I've got enough obligations as it is...
Although I can be pretty easy sometime too.
I'm not afraid of human contact or anything

Yeah... Friends require maintenance, I don't like it, it's a lot of work. But in the end it pays off. I used to have a lot of trouble fitting in and keeping good friendships, some kind of social laziness. But when I got past that the benefits came. I actually realized I could be happier, and I did
What always scared me the most is let time slip by and skip life. It's too short and it's not worth wasting time not enjoying it. I wish I won the lottery so I don't have to manage work life balance.
This may be just me, but I think I waste time working and sleeping, too little time for actual leisure. But maybe work is leisure for you

I do enjoy the rewards of hard work though. Having done something useful, making a difference, paycheck...

Silly man; you're supposed to pile all the dirty dished on the counter and in the sink until the dishwasher is empty, and then fill it. Think of it as a mutex with the counter being a queue.

I'm pretty sure this is just a joke. It makes no sense to be single and miss the bright side of it.

Oh boy, what happened to the world?
How can you not appreciate having no one to ask for permission, being able to hang out with your pals without anyone on your ass, not owing any explanation, doing whatever you please, hooking up with different women every time...
You don't need to be that young for any of those.
