I've just got a Kindle Paper White, and just like my last Kindle, reading PDF is a royal pain. Reading in landscape makes it 1/10 the pain, but still, pain. I tried using Zamzar to convert to mobi, but got gibberish about three pages in. Do I stop reading books on magick, all mostly old and PDF, and concentrate on tech books, that are all mostly available in Kindle formats?

I didn't buy a Kindle for that very reason and got a Sony PRS-T3 instead. It usually does a good job on PDF reflowing. It is a bit slow, though.

No, but it's the most touted and I will try it asap, thanks.

I loathe auto start vidoes when they are news items, an auto start video that is an add is unforgivable! Banished to the pits of hell...

I see no ads I have an ad blocker, if the ads annoy you that much then I suggest you do the same. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I've never actually bothered to install an ad blocker, either too lazy or I don't want to miss out on the opportunity to whine about something!

Who wants to miss out on the opportunity to moan and whinge about something or another, certainly not my wife.

I wouldn't event try. My Kindle is now so broken (it loses major functionality on a monthly basis) I can now only use it for reading very simple web pages and the occasional book - although it has to be plugged into the mains for that - and because bookmarks have never worked it has to be a book I want to read from cover to cover. Amazon tell me to update the Kindle software but there is no way of doing that - none of the Amazon suggestions work.

I read PDF documents only if there's a gun to my head (filling the form out for renting my current address was the last time, nearly two years ago. It's people like the inventors of pdf that make me wish I believed in Hell so I could send them there!

Every now and then I read some religiously fervent blog which tells me I have been all wrong all that time, and it's well past time I convert to F#.
Mm.... More and more.
I had a few foray into F# a few years back. Was not really enthused. I know no one who used regularly!
What's all the hype about?!
[EDIT]
Just did some study...
I think F# is the C# vNext experimental lab. MS want people to use to have feedback on which feature is gonna make it in C#.
Thing is many revolutionary F# thing are just like the usual bread and better C# 4.6 features...
In a word, not to worry! ^_^

I remember when it first made an appearance I took a look at it and there was a large wtf?
Never looked at it again!
Then when I was doing my OU studies and doing all the functional type stuff in AI, made me wonder........but nope, still never went back!
