This is the Lounge, if people don't like your MQOTD they are free to ignore it. I say keep going, it's mostly entertaining.

Casino Royale (the original with David Niven as Bond)
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Me too... The hamsters were on lunch break, I guess. Seems like they're back now.

I posted an item about how clever and inspiring Nigel Fruitcake is and I'm afraid it fried the sarcasm circuits.

When I hear such things, I consider the mob that occupies the lounge.
Only one thought comes to mind: Hamster bacon.

Thank you.
It took me nearly an hour to create it. So I'm not interested in doing it again too often.

Not yet, but soon...
I enrolled in gunsmithing school today, having retired from my engineering job under the thumb of an abusive a$$hat GM who was determined to fire me and install one of his former cronies. I can't afford to retire, actually, but I figure that whichever way the election goes, the market for gunsmiths is looking good. If Conservatives win, guns will be cheap and plentiful, and I'll have plenty of business. If the Communists Democrats win, I'll have even more work, maintaining and improving illegally banned weapons under the table. I can't lose...
Part of the course includes a machinist program, which is something I've always enjoyed but lacked the training to really master. I already have a nice mill, bandsaw, grinder, gas and MIG welders, and assorted other tools, and next week I plan to order a lathe to round out my collection. And if I want to pursue my first love - embedded programming - I can always grab some stepper motors and an Arduino developer kit, and convert my machines to numerical control.
Who says retirement is dull?
Will Rogers never met me.

I salute you, I'm wondering if doing the same here in Italy but for now "ubi maior minor cessat", aka it would cost me more than I can afford.

That means you'll be able to make your own guns with starting with 80% receivers/frames. Luck bastard....
