Today, I tried to use my bluetooth headphones with my laptop.
It's been impossible.
OLD QUESTION
I've noticed bluetooth was not ON in my laptop and tried to start it, but it's been impossible.
Accessed the device administrator and seen Bluetooth wasn't there.
I've connected to the Internet and seen a kind of procedure to solve the issue and I followed the steps...
1. Shown hidden items in the device manager.
2. Uninstall drivers of the bluetooth hidden item.
3. Restart computer to get an automatically updated driver for that device.
Well... After restarting, bluetooth never appeared again.
After restarting it again and seeing a message saying the WIFI card was not accepted, I've opened the back lid, accessed the hardwared, unplugged the card and plugged it again.
Now it works...
I think I will have to buy that new laptop even before I planned to...
Thank you all!

He had my eye-test results so I asked if I could see them.
"Probably not", he said.

Nice well constructed clue

Thanks, but maybe a little too obvious?
I feel like it was only one level of abstraction away from:
put "me" in between "co" and "dy"

I guessed it was comedy because of the me and company parts but I didn't think of DIY so it wasn't that obvious ( except for OG but you know whay he's like )

IT's 2020. When are we going to get an "Update..." option within the app that updates this beast instead of us having to go to a website, download and manually install it. It's not like it's built using Visual Studio's guts or anything, and that VS has a fully integrated upgrader / installer, or anything.

The last version I used was 2014, and it was built using Visual Studio's guts, namely Visual Studio Code. On top of that, you had to download the full installer for SQL Server (several GB's) in order to get it. Unbelievable PITA.
I am firmly convinced that everyone at Microsoft has a fiber optic link to the corporate LAN. That's the only thing I can think of that would make them believe that an 8GB or 12GB download for a utility app was reasonable.
I am not looking forward to when I update our data base crap to whatever's new and shiny .

I have the full offline installer for SSMS 18.6, and it's 534MB. Is this what you're talking about?

No. They must have realized what an idiocy it was to have to download SQL Server just to get the management tool. My last attempt at this was with SQL Server 2014.

At least you CAN update SSMS... For me it fails on an ODBC driver update because the current driver can not be removed... (but if I remove manually it still fails because the current driver can not be removed)...

Poor Microsoft. Will we ever be happy with their updaters? Offer an external upgrader - people scream that they hate it. Offer an update from inside the application - people scream that they hate it. Do an automatic update - people scream that they hate it. They really can't win.
