As the groundbreaking show Yo! MTV Raps delivered hip hop culture into suburban living rooms across America, some, er, brilliant marketers convinced Microsoft that they should jump on the cultural bandwagon. ... ... ... whiskey. tango. foxtrot.
I am so ashamed for all those involved.
I made it through 2:21 of the video. Can anyone make it through the whole thing?

I'd rather watch Steve Balmer throw chairs.

At 0:55 in, the next article on that page, "Snooker legend Steve Davis masters the synthesizer" looked far more interesting. Then I found that the cringefest of a video was posted 12 years ago. Upgrade DOS 5.0? Who the **** cares?

I did, but then I have completion issues. Where would it have been shown anyway? 5 minute video?
Oh yeah, the disks were 5.25 floppies even!
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.
I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.

This release is a testament to our commitment to listening to you, our developer community. Not *your* feedback, the other 'your' feedback

By "your", we mean Marketing Manager Mike, who still isn't sure what 'code' means.

Using one photo and free software, someone can impersonate your appearance in a video chat. This wasn't posted by me
Just someone made to look and sound like me

And I am sure that will be only used for good...

Coming without so much as a heads-up, this quiet update to Windows Security fixed a notable security flaw. Windows Security?

Interesting - this tells me that people aren't applying updates as part of their imaging process. When I image a machine I always apply first the vender's updates (looking at BIOS in particular) and then Windows updates before doing anything else.

I strongly suspect you're right - I've seen a lot of places just stick with the original base image they created when the machines were new, then live with the multiple reboots and downtime while they get updated. And probably infected.
