Until the moment than a CEO with currently opened eyes notices, that it is easier to replace the managers than the workers, specially the good workers.

Microsoft added Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) to let anyone run a Linux distro directly. Because the people that love their CLIs, love using a GUI to work with them
Or a trio of TLAs: WSL CLI GUI

I'll bet they control the GUI with a cron job...

How would they be able to insert publicity without a GUI?

Isn't the most accurate circle just a bunch of infinitesimally small straight lines joined end-to-end?

If you've ever jokingly wondered if your search or viewing history is going to "put you on some kind of list," your concern may be more than warranted. I swear I thought those cats were 18!

The logic use to claim "mapping via drones" is applicable to a cryptocurrency laundering scheme must be as obtuse as most money laundering schemes.

I think it would be "interesting" to see how Europeans (the masses not the CP members) would react if all 3 companies pulled up stakes and left Europe completely (including closing all their offices and terminating all employees).

No iPhones, Pixel phones or even Android on other (Samsung) phones.
No iPads or Android tablets.
No Macs or Chromebooks.
No Apple Watches or Google Gear watches.
No Apple Home or Google Nest home automation.
No Google Search, Chrome browser or Safari browser.
No Apple Music, Google Music or Google Play store.
No iCloud or Apple Photos.
No Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, Google Calendar or Google Docs.
No Google Maps or Apple Maps.
No YouTube, YouTube TV or Apple TV+.
No Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
...I'm sure I'm forgetting others. Not many people in western civilization can say they never use any of these items. My wife and I "regularly use" at least one item from each line except the last line - we never use any of them.

- No YouTube, YouTube TV or Apple TV+. <<< Youtube sucks with the increase of publicity and never used the others.
- No Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp. <<< Maybe this would convince my friends to use Signal or the real telephone instead.
About the rest of population... maybe this way, we would go back to socializing in person and actually talking to each other again, and the kids would have less complexes and spend more time outside actually playing with other pals.
Mmmmh.... I agree with den2k88: Yes, please.

I don't necessarily disagree with you about the advantages of "unplugging" - I just don't think the majority of people would agree so easily.

I have an Android phone and use Google Search, Gmail and WhatsApp.
The last three are all easily replaceable. The first is less so, but then I only use a tiny subset of the features in Android. A phone O/S and ecosystem that would answer my needs could be much simpler than Android.

So the EU is trying to eliminate the "if you aren't paying for the product you are the product" concept. Europeans will end up paying for "free" internet services as a result. They aren't going to like this.
