There are only a few Atlas V rockets left. Seven are reserved for the Boeing Starliner capsule that may never fly. Amazon is betting on Bezos's Blue Origin BE-4 engine, which is years behind schedule and has yet to fly, with a production version actually blowing up during ground testing at Blue Origin's west Texas test facility in June.

The Atlas V rockets use a Russian made engine. There are 7 of these engines being reserved for the Demo 2 and crewed missions for Starliner and I believe about a dozen more for other payloads. Amazon was betting their Kuiper satellite network on the Vulcan rocket, which uses the Blue Origin BE-4 engine. Blue Origin has built two of these engines and one blew up in June during testing at Blue Origin's west Texas test facility. The BE-4 engine is almost as far behind as the SLS system.
