People with zero business sense always love to chime in. The fact is, people hate change. If it was once free but not now, people will not like that no matter who or what does it. The only reason Elon is being made out to be evil is because the fake media tells the gullible people to hate him now.
You seem to forget that Twitter is a company that was run on a bed of lies and losing money like crazy. He didn't buy it to make billions. He bought it for altruistic reasons. If the lies and sinking ship burns, so be it. Elon has already said in more than one interview he doesn't care about the money at all. Zippo. And yet, average people who don't know a 100th of what he does will still insult him when the TV they worship tells them it's time to hate something else.

My comment is just an observation about a very probable scenario. If people want to pay and continue using its API, perfect. He can do whatever he wants. I don't use it, so I don't give a crap about it.

I don't know him personally, but I know people who I respect that do know him, some colleagues and a couple of friends went to Berlin to work for him, only 3 are still there, the rest didn't like what they saw / had to experience and went away from "a damned toxic environment" (literal comment). So at least my opinion is not just for being gullible and reading media.

He said he would buy it for "ego" or because he spoke before really thinking about it, then backed up and at the end he bought it because he was forced by a court to do it.

It doesn't apply. I do respect what he has achieved, I just don't like his personality. About your "100th"... I am not sure if he really is THAT intelligent, and again... I don't care. IF he really is, good for him. I would not change me for him at any moment.
Additionally, as far as I know I have never insulted him. I might have made contextual jokes, yes. But I really think I didn't cross that line.

Same was said of Larry Ellison, Steve Jobs, Bill Gate, Jeff Bozos, etc. and the list goes on. And I sure don't recall insults always flying off the handle about them. But since the media doesn't complain about their crap, it doesn't matter. #group_think

Only Apple has this issue, since with Android you can either install APKs directly or give permissions to apps to install APKs, like F-Droid.
Also, if we're talking about malware, both Google and Apple themselves already spy on everything we do.
