A recent study has found that 94% of spreadsheets used in business decision-making contain errors, posing serious risks for financial losses and operational mistakes. It's not like businesses use them to make important decisions or anything

Spreadsheets: [Spreadshits]... Just saying
Additionally... how many managers in decision-making positions do erros that are serious risks for financial losses and operational mistakes?

It's getting harder to land a job these days, which is why a lot of candidates are turning to generative AI for help. But this shortcut may be backfiring as overwhelmed recruiters get swamped with low-quality, robot-written submissions. 75% processed by AI recruiting tools

Are they many or any programming languages that are not English based? Maybe they should use one of those to build the next AI.

I remember seeing one that was based on classical Chinese sagas. That's the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Oh wait, does APL count?

Microsoft has fixed a known issue causing some Windows devices to boot into BitLocker recovery after installing last month's Windows security updates. We'll see what it breaks soon enough

Probably something people seldom use any more. Like printing.

Every machine in my company is BitLocker encrypted and we didn't have any instances of this issue occur. I wonder if the issue is that there was a BIOS update for some manufacturers that wasn't flagged properly in the July updates.

There are a lot of zany manufacturers out there. It's always been Windows' worst problem (and what Apple avoids so it seems 'better' at these things)

With the Start menu being at the heart of Windows, it is vital that it functions in a way that makes sense to people. Sadly, this has not always been the case. People look for stuff to run on the Start menu?
I guess I end up doing it every few weeks, but mostly I try to ignore it

Quote: A new option to view shortcuts you have installed organized by category is available in the latest beta build of Windows 11. The new view groups together shortcuts for similar or related apps, so all of your music apps are together, all of your entertainments, and so on. And you could do something like this with a start menu subdirectory way back in Win 7. My lord, how effin dumb are we going to get if we continue down this current road?
