Kent Sharkey wrote: "The good news is that in order to pull the attack off, the threat actor needs to have access to the target device in advance." <-- Yeah, I'm not losing sleep over this one. Would be a pissed employee be dangerous? Or only his/her own data would be at risk (depending on who, that could already be bad enough)?

I suppose you’re right, but it just struck me as another of those “if they get access to your computer, they can do bad stuff” kind of story. I mean, yeah. That’s how bad stuff happens usually.

Microsoft announced a go-live support license is the next step for .NET MAUI, an improvement on mobile-centric Xamarin as it targets desktop apps too. "We're homeward bound from the Arctic ground, rolling down to old Maui"
Good luck to all those on Maui. Hopefully all the help they need gets there, and the recovery is swift.

A whopping 80% of bosses regret their initial return-to-office decisions and say they would have approached their plans differently if they had a better understanding of what their employees wanted, according to new research from Envoy. But they still get their bonuses, right?

Last week I spent over 20 minutes trying to recover my father's Steam account.
Does the concept of bike include Vespas? Is the picture of the handlebar in the upper right also considered a bike picture? How about the crosswalk, does the red illuminated sign in the distance count or am I only looking for lines on the street?
We abandoned Steam and bought the game via the Microsoft store - we were able to find the product, download it, and start playing in less time than I'd spent playing Captcha roulette. Captcha cost Steam a customer.

Microservices allow developers to break down their applications into smaller, loosely coupled services that are developed, deployed, and scaled independently. But you need a monitoring tool to track whether the software works correctly–and that means you need useful criteria for choosing such a tool. "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe"
