These coding games cover plenty of languages, age ranges, and skill levels, so whether you’re a complete beginner or looking for something on the next level, there’s a game to help you learn coding the best way: by doing it. I'm sure your boss will consider them part of the training budget

Learning used to be fun in and of itself. Since the 80's, learning has to be wrapped in a game.

Computer scientists this year learned how to transmit perfect secrets, why transformers seem so good at everything, and how to improve on decades-old algorithms (with a little help from AI). In case you (like me) slept through 2022

Wow: the number of features, and complexity (I read the entire NuGet intro) of this project are impressive. But, how many people will use it ?

Well color me impressed, I am still waiting for VB7. I still have nightmares due to my 10 years writing VB6 code but it honestly wasn't that bad.
I just wish to stop absent mindedly writing Dim ... as ... in C after 5 years I exclusevly use C.

According to findings published by @XenoPanther on Twitter, Microsoft is considering pressing on with recommended content in Windows 11. Wouldn't you rather open this file instead?

It'll definitely be the year, maybe the decade, of Linux if they really do that. Then again, I've disabled Windows Update and am happily on W10 and will stay there for the remaining future. If live another 30 years, I'll have switched to some other OS by then, probably something that runs on the rPi of the future.

Make Cortana's voice into HAL 9000 - I may actually start using Cortana! I haven't gone by 'Dave' before, but I would for that!

You'd think that would be on one of the voice samples. Or at least I'd think that, but I'm wrong.

Excellent article that rings true for my experiences at Adobe during the creation of what became Acrobat (by a skunk-works team of 4). Also very true of ... the codebase no one understands any more, and no one dare change ... that can only be patched ... my experiences with working on Illustrator and PhotoShop.
