Microsoft has introduced a new way to interop with native code in the just-released .NET 7, a fundamental change which improves performance and assists debugging but could also give developers some tough problems figuring out how to port their existing code. Great news for those who like debugging interop code

I heard from a former IBM employee (so I have no URL to back it up  ) that there is an official term in IBM: A TF, Temporary Fix.
Informally, within IBM, there is another term: PTF, a Permanent Temporary Fix...
