Store your own array of items, then use a small list box to display a selected number of them. Use your own slider control and fill the 10 or 20 or however many you are displaying from an index into your own array. Its probably faster anyway.

How to use the CheckRadioButton(..) method?
I don't understand what they mean in MSDN Libray with the parameters! Frown | :(

But if I say how I want to use them: I want to set the radio button to be checked, and I want to know if the radio is checked!!

CheckRadioButton is fairly simple to use.

The first parameter is the first Radio button ID in the group of Radio buttons. If you had three radio buttons in a group, IDC_CHOICE1,IDC_CHOICE2,IDC_CHOICE3 then the first parameter would be IDC_CHOICE1. The second parameter would be the last one in the range IDC_CHOICE3. The last parameter is the id of the button that you want checked.

You can use IsDlgButtonChecked to find the selected button,

Hi,
to set a radiocontrol checked: m_RadioName.SetCheck(1);
value 1 = checked
value 0 = unchecked
if you want to test the status: if (m_RadioName.GetCheck()==1){...}

When you want to know if the button checked use IsDlgButtonChecked(hDlg,IDC_RADIO1)

I have dll that wrote in vc and its exported function declared so:

How have I declare that function in my project(client program) if I want to use it as imported function ?

Make sure you also list the function in the exports section of the .DEF file! Smile | :)

Hey all,

At the Moment I handle Every Thumbtrack message within OnScroll but I would like to
wait till the user stops moving before the View is updated!
How do I update a scrollView after the user has stopped moving the ThumbTrack?

Ignore SB_THUMBTRACK, use SB_THUMBPOSITION.

Problem with Word 2000 automation, error code 0x80080005

Hi,

anyone here experienced with Word automation?

I have a application, in fact a COM component, provide functionalities for
extracting Word document data, it was tested well with Word XP, Word 97, but
failed with Word 2000 Cry | :((

the error is very strange, when I create a Word instance by
CoCreateInstance, it's failed and return error: 0x80080005 - Server
execution failed

I have spent whole day to fix the bug, search entire MSDN, but the result is
nothing, although have some articles cover this bug, but neither of them
have final approach (and feasibility) to work-around.

It's still the bug, I will try with other copy of Microsoft Word 2000, but
if you know what problem is, give me the way to solve, pls.

But let me add some information, we didn't find the solution ourselves
because this bug isn't covered in any articles in MSDN, also the reason is
the same, the error code is different, in our case, the
_com_ptr_t::CreateInstance return error CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE
(0x80080005: "Server execution failed") when instantiate Wors.Application
object.

(in Visual Basic, the error is error 409: ActiveX component cannot create
object).

Need to double right-click to get context menu in tree control

If I create a new edit control class derived from CEdit and handle WM_CONTEXTMENU this gets called when you right-click in the edit control, as you would expect. However if I do the same with the tree control, it only gets called when you double right-click, does anyone know why this is and how to make it respond to single right-clicks?

DDE(Interprocess communication) Problem

Can Any body help me regarding DDE. The following is the problem.

I want to communicate with an Application which is already communicating with some application using DDE.

at the moment I have completed these tasks.

I get the information of the servers and I have also build up a conversation path with those servers. I do have all of the information of the registered strings handles.

At the moment my application could establish DDE Comunication.
What I want to know is that there is any mean to know the Data handles structure being accepted by the server application.

please tell me this

Hello,
Any simple way to rotate the whole content of a view from 0 to 360 degrees?
I need GDI method, so that it can work on both Win98 and Win2000. It is simple with GDI+, but it is a way long porting the whole project to the GDI+.
