you dont need to access datalist control to access checkBox you just need to send number of rows for ur purpose and then loop through all the rows..

the problem is that i used the following code to download a file from server to the client machine....
Dim strFileName As String = "createuser.tif" ' it is the file in server
Dim fs As System.IO.FileStream = Nothing

it has worked fine promting a message where to save the tif file ...but when i downloaded download Accelerator Plus and running the asp.net application instead of getting the tif file iam getting default.aspx page of the application how this problem is solved

What I could understand is
U have one grid which shows all online users and u r refreshing this list after a predefined time..
Now what is ur exact problem please elaborate...

I am having a real issue with dynamically adding content to the ModalPopupExtender ajax control in asp.net. I am using c# 2.0 and latest ajax version.
I have the following definition in the .aspx file:

This gives me the error "web service call failed: 500".
Now I have tried the following:
- Remove the DynamicServiceMethod and DynamicServicePath properties and the dialog displays as I would expect (without dynamic information). So no problems there.
- Changing the GetContextKey(string contextKey) to GetContextKey() works, but the return value populates the label lblInfo with the text "[object]" as opposed to "test1234".
It seems like the webservice definition is wrong somehow (like the string parameter is building a wrong signature to what is expected).
The webservice works fine by itself if I test it manually (through the IIS generated web page).
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated as its stressing me out  I have searched everywhere and this post is my last resort.

I have a web form with an asp.net FileUpload control. This is the same as a html tag.
Every time I try to upload an .mdf file (sql server database file) the page is reset by iis and there is no upload. iis seems to be blocking .mdf files, since many other file types are uploading.
I don't even know a good forum to ask this in. What do you think would be the workaround for this? I can't think of an easy way to rename the extension before uploading it, or if that would even work. The user browses to the .mdf file and selects it, there is no chance to rename the extension.

Hai to all,
In my web aplication,
I have set the session time out in web.config and also in IIS(in my application).
The problem is,once i start the data entry of my application and in between if i leave the system for 15-20 minutes then from the current point i can not enter the data bcz session is expiring.
How to solve this problem??maximum time 60minutes i have given still same problem is coming.
If i want to display a message that "session haas been expired" with which condition on each form i have to show??
Give me some idea

Hi,
just set session expire in web.config. Not anywhere else in application or not anywhere else. Just check it.
Now in Goabal.asax there is Session_End event. In that you can redirect to session end message page.
