After I saw that you are from India, it may be better to find something in your native language, as a beginner it may help you to struggle only with the subject and not with the language (of course only in case your English is not native level)...

Here's a free PDF-book on C# : Fundamentals of Computer Programming with C#[^]
I haven't really read it, but I skimmed through it and it looks alright. You can't go wrong with a free one.

What I've read and can suggest as a general-purpose book is "Pro C# 2010 and the .NET 4 Platform" of which there is now a new edition: Pro C# 5.0 and the .NET 4.5 Framework[^]
