I'm afraid your question is not very clear. Could you please provide some more details / explanations?

Solution file contains all content info of project, like files paths, links... Every time you save your project, VS automatically creates a solution file. If any website don't have solution file in its own directory then either its in 'Documents\Visual Studio 20XX\Projects\[Website project name]' or doesn't exists(it will show you dialog to create the solution file when you try to save your project.)

It's possible to open a collection of files as a website, without a solution file. Why do you need one ?

Website is created in one folder and solution file is created in another folder when you creaet a website. Solution file is created in MyDocuments/Visual Studio 2005/2008/Projects/Websitename.

The website is created in the location where you have created your project.

Solution file is not always created in MyDocuments.. folder. You can save in other drive along with other files if needed.
