What would you say is cutting ege UI design and does anyone know of any sites discussing it along with new UI controls ? \

Personally I think that WPF based user interface have potential to be really good, if you use wisely the capabilities of WPF. However, WPF do have a little less controls available yet than FORMS (3rd parties). Also WPF is not yet supported on Mono, therefore you can't really use it for multi platform interfaces neither.

So check what you need and think that a good looking UI is nothing if it's not truly usable.
