How to programatically(c#) extract bookmarks/favourites from IE and Firefox?

I've been trying to write some code to extract favorites and bookmarks and save them in a common format to a file.

If someone has done this before can you please guide me on how to go about doing this?

A sample code, if available, would really help :-)
