MS Visual Studio 2003 C++ localization

Hello,
I have simple window application and want to translate it.
Application has dialogs and strings in resource file.
I try to insert new dialog set new language and the same ID but it is not working.
I do not know how translate string.
There is lot of examples for C# but no for C++.
Thank you.
