Error on creating a virtual directory .401.1

After i create a virtual directory and open my web page thro a browser I get 401.1 error saying unauthorised access.

Pls help.

ASP.NET might not be registered properly, this normally happens if you configure IIS after your .net installation.

You can try registering the ASP.NET

Execute following command.

aspnet_regiis -i
