Solution 1

To combine sheets from multiple files into one file? There are many way. I generally use ADO.net to read and write Excel so I'd use that.

If it's something you do a lot and you also have SQL Server, you may want to consider SSIS.

2 ways to read and write Excel (XLS and XLSX) files:
C#: Read and Write Excel (*.xls and *.xlsx) Files Content without Excel Automation (using NPOI and ADO.NET)[^]
Both ways aren't requiring MS Excel preinstalled in PC.
