Please tell me which one is better from future point of aspect .If any new emerging technology is there which is better than both of them (from future point of aspect ) then please recommend that also.

Thank you all for sharing your valuable feedback and experience.

You can't compare them. It's like apple and bread. Both are products, both are development platforms, both rely on asp.net framework, but that's much anything in common.

With Sharepoint you have a CMS ready to use. It has good and not so good features, and limitations, and it is as it is. You have the possibility to extend it programatically, to controll it programatically, but it is a product on it's own. One can build sites without writing a singe line of code.

ASP.NET MVC you don't have anything like that. You build every application from scratch on top of MVC framework and other technologies. With MVC you have the whole control over the emitted html code, even over the http traffic itself, the data store behind, and much anything. And you need to care about them all - depending on your needs.

Let's formulate like this: Sharepoint is like using Word to create a Web page, while MVC is like using PHP for the same task. With Sharepoint you can build web sites - with MVC you can build web applications.

Well, that's the idea...

But it is your decision which path to take. You can make (or not) career with any of them.

SharePoint and MVC can't be compared any how but yes these both are at peaks this few years.

I started SharePoint before 8 months and its good to go for next few years, but yes can't say what's the future as new techs are on the prowl. God knows which one is next so it actually depends where you get the "WORK" !!

So if you want to sail the sea go for MVC... and sail the ocean go for SharePoint.

I agree with Kaushal. He wrote the good points. One thing you need to note that if you want to clear any certifications for MCSD of SharePoint, you must give an exam of MVC.
i think SharePoint and j Query is the best choice. MVC is Good for unusual application development .
